Denver is the same way. Lived near Alameda and Federal back in the day and we go out side at midnight and listen and then run back in for cover. We called it the Tet Offensive.

When I was with the San Diego Sheriffs Office, we had to all come off the street 10 minutes before 12 untill 10 minutes or so after. Rounds were impacting the roof of the office. People were calling in nonstop reporting gun fire.

^this. When I worked armed security at a casino in Las Vegas, us outside units were required to stay tucked inside the parking garaged until the majority of the gunfire stopped.

We heard gunfire at our old apartments at union and vickers in the springs last night, including one ricochet. Hopefully it was not someone on this site, and regardless, such reckless activity in town only gives us a worse reputation, and solidifies the anti-gunners claims to what kind of people we are. We need to be mindful of how we represent ourselves to the public, and guide the new gun owners down the same path. The last 10 years, we had the public support, but as of last month, we lost alot of that. Think before you act.

I woke up to the sound of gunfire. At least 2-3 pistols and a couple of rifles. One of the rifles was some bolt large caliber. 2 sec between shots and 5 total. 30sec pause and five more and it was not a little "pop".
