View Full Version : If they do ban magazines

If they do actually ban magazines with a capacity of more than 10 rounds, I wonder how they'll attempt to handle these 10/22 mags that are just glued together making them like 20 rounders? There used to be another plastic gizmo that you could glue (epoxy) four of the 10/22 magazines together. These things may be real popular again - soon.[blaster]

Most of what I have read is that .22's are excluded.

I believe you will have just committed a felony. Who knows, owning two 10 rd mags and some glue or a rubber band might be considered "constructive intent".

Apparently you just don't see how much deadlier you just made those. :)

Sell them on e-bay for $100, pure win !!

On a side note anyone want to take a bet that the 10/22 and all variations will be listed? I believe it will be.

22s with TUBULAR magazines. Detachable 22LR magazines of >10 round capacity are evil and must be destroyed.

What do you mean "listed"? Do you mean "banned just like ARs and AKs"? If so, then I think that will occur. My Marlin model 60 with 17 round capacity will be safe.

Are you kidding? People already do that! They throw an aftermarket barrel on it, do a trigger shim mod or some shit and call it a match trigger and install a bolt hold open and suddenly its an $800 CUSTOM Match Grade Ruger 10/22. [facepalm]

These are 2 Separate 10 round mags, NOT 1 continuous 20 round one. Geez Bob, you got the young ones all fired up.

If a law is passed banning mags of more than 10 rds would you want to argue semantics with the ATF.

By 'listed' I meant specifically named in the 120 on Feinsteins bill.

. All detachable mags of 10 rd or more will be banned. Just like they were before. Caliber will have nothing to do with it.

If memory serves me. High caps mags were ban from import and no longer legal to be manufactured in the USA. They were not ban from individuals or the general public. Under the Brady Bill.

Let's hope it goes down the say way.

If a law is passed.

How about we all agree that 1000 round mags can be banned....

Ok I know people are going to argue with me but you can't win every argument.

If you can FORCE an 11th round into a 10 round mag, it will be illegal. Does not matter that the gun will jam, that 11th round fit.

I think they are intentionally trying to start a fight so that all gun owners can just be labled as terrorists

ABSOLUTELY, I have No Issue dealing with the ATF. The law pertains to ONE MAGAZINE WITH THE ABILITY TO HOLD MORE THEN 10 ROUNDS. Even an idiot can see those are 2 separate mags, fixed together, not 2 ten round mags made ot feed from one tower.

Sure.... how do you feel about owning a full auto FCG and an AR15 (if you do I wouldn't admit to it here). Or how about a VFG and an AR pistol? It's all bullshit but don't tell me you're willing to be the poster child for fighting NFA laws (80 years is too long ago to try and make a point). Maybe you are and I'm just a pussy but there's no way I'm ordering a Mac 11 stock with a semi auto M11 in my 'constructive possession'.

The current laws are just as unconstitutional as what I suggested but that doesn't mean they're not coming.

Well my AR would hold 10 +1 and it would blow everyone in the govts mind.

th3w01f
12-31-2012, 22:45
And one more point, if you don't give a fuck about the ATF and don't think they have any power there are plenty of schematics for DIAS online and it would probably only take a few minutes to make one. How about converting an open bolt M11?

All I'm saying is at this point there are certain laws we've agreed to follow and there isn't much recourse because the people before use let it happen.

*Just to make 100% sure I'm clear for future reference, I in no way advocating doing any of these things since they are ILLEGAL, I'm just pointing out that laws exist and we all must follow them*
