I am a cable guy, ya this is north Juarez I mean greeley. I had to set my ladder, jump in the van and warm my hands, jump out and run up the frozen ladder to do my work, then run back to the van! I think I got frost bite in my finger this morning it was hurting now its just numb.
You must be in an older neighborhood where everything is overhead. That sucks you have to work today. I used to do utility locating, hated that job.

Ya greeley has more airial plant then any other town in northern CO. I have worked everything north of Denver for comcast and us cable/baja, and greeley is by far the worst place to work for plant, people, etc. Every year I swear I will have a new inside job before the next winter but it never happens. The only place I would hate working more is cheyenne. But sometimes I get over to Jims neighborhood where all the rich folk live.

I remember the good old days when I'd be thawing and repairing frozen pipes on a day like this. All I can say to you guys that are working is be thankful your working.

ho hum...another day of herding cats...
My team has a little project from the SEC so I'm working too. Fortunately the data retrieval takes a while so I can play around some between queries.

I actually got a 3 day break that just happened to fall on new years eve. After driving the 8 hours home, hugging my children and my wife, I was called and told to be back to work in 12 hours.
I've been off starting dec 3rd and visiting family in San Diego from dec 23 until now just packing up to head home. I figure 5 more days off and it will have made up for all the 6 and 7 day work weeks this summer (6 weeks no days off at one point) it has been nice to spend time with the family.

When it's 9 below outside its automatically cold inside.

Someone needs to invent a way to efficiently heat buildings.
