Kinda makes you wonder how we ever got by during those first 175 years, when income taxes were still illegal. [Bang]
Click here for article about how this deal was a win for Republicans. Doesn't say anything about fiscal conservatives, and those who favor small government. Clearly Repubs are no longer those.
Nothing passed by this Congress and signed by this President can be considered a win. I'm just sayin'
The less they do, the less they screw up.
When the wheels have left the road, a good driver knows not to turn the wheel.
here is a graph that shows exactly how big of a dent the new "deal" puts in the deficit....

This was in no way a win. The debt along with the rest of what these politicians are doing to our country will continue to spiral out of control.
It was a deal. It made some people feel good while bending over most tax paying citizens.
Congress passed a resolution on taxes but not on spending cuts. How is that a win for America?

All of them who get a paycheck.
Even the guests on NPR were complaining about this, saying how the Republicans aren't really ever serious about cutting spending, and the Democrats aren't really that serious about raising taxes, and that it is just one big hipocracy from both sides.
Seriously, I believe this country has already passed the tipping point. We've moved from a democratic republic to socialist mob rule hell bent on the redistribution of the wealth produced by the hardworking folks. Fasten your seatbelts, because it's all downhill from here.
We should have told the republicans to shut the hell up and let us go over. At least then there would have been a chance for change...

It's a joke. For all those holding out hope that the debt ceiling crisis in February will be the time the Repubs "finally fix" all this, it is time to stop dreaming.
Democrats and republicans... Two sides to the same coin. Thought patterns need to change in this country. Simple (and hard) as that.

Good luck with that. This country is being fed nothing but lies and propaganda.

Believe it or not, they actually have some smart people there, SOMEtimes.
Yeah, this bill needs to be renamed the "Kick the Can Down the Road" bill. Sickening! I'm only happy about one thing, that congress KNOWS THAT THE COUNTRY HATES THEM. They're just desparately trying to hold onto their power while they can. Can't wait until the next voting cycle!!!

Buy gold and silver
Yeah..my taxes went up.no debt deal figured out. Fucking idiots are turning the wrench the wrong way.
The only way this qualifies as a win is if you were betting they would come up with the worst deal they could

"In a sense America voted for big government in November. What it didn't vote for is the willingness to pay for it. We have the biggest gap between revenue and spending of any nation on Earth. So people have got to get real about this. If you want Swedish-style government, you have to pay Swedish-style taxes. And if you don’t, you have to grow up and learn to live within your means," author and columnist Mark Steyn said on FOX News this morning.
The author of the book “After America” went on to point out that if the current debt-fueled spending continues, “you’re basically signaling to the world that the American era is over."
"I think he’s got another agenda. The thing to do is to get people used to the spending, which is about 25 percent of GDP. If he’s gotten people used to the spending, at some point people will have to pay for it the way the Norwegians pay for it, the way the Belgians pay for it. They will have to pay taxes that match what the government is spending. Obama has figured out if you get ‘em used to the spending, then two, three years down the line the taxes will fall his way," said Steyn."
Good point from a really smart guy.
I can't like this guy enough... awesome! I really hope he puts his hat in for 2016!

His books are good reads.
Isn't it amazing that our Founders risked life and treasure over the Crown taxing us an additional 2%? At what point do you define tyranny?
