What happens to the small ma and pop shops that don't use pcs?
i'm actually surprised they let them go on this long. with so many in queue someone in government will eventually start screaming about fairplay.

It's the new mandatory wait time for all firearm purchases starting July 2013, once the CO .gov gets it's pen a signing.
I thought the government was supposed to serve the people, am I mistaken?

That's a good one. Oh, you were serious. Um, yeah, maybe that's the way it was intended, but it hasn't been like that for a long time, at least not during my lifetime.

they said if you don't have a computer they would key it in, and then you have to wait like the rest of the state the 9+ days.

It was in jest. I know I work to pay taxes so some 'crat can dip his winkus in the secretarial pool.
Wow, sucks for a few of the vendors on the forum as a few of them were doing the call in checks for peeps at TGS and their places of business. Plus, some home based FFL's may not want to hold someone's internet order for that long.

So someone educate me on CBI since I'm not perfectly clear on it (just moved here around a year ago). This is a Colorado only thing, right? Did Colorado passed some redundant legislature requiring this in addition to NICS sometime back?
Are the folks in other states (only using NICS) not experiencing this kind of problem?

I'm interested as well. I talked with a buddy in Michigan and he stated the hysteria is also strong there with people buying up anything related to an AR, but didn't know about whether or not there were delays in the NICS check.
I heard from a friend in FL that said they do NICS and his neighbor was able to purchase and walk with gun, same day.

Many states only use NICS, some have their own system. Colorado has their own system that uses NICS as well as local data.

Yeah, I just got off the phone with a couple friends in FL as well. I used to live there and with a CCW, there was no wait. It's the same as of 4 days ago. Without the CCW, you have a 3 day wait, but that's law, not backup in NICS.
I'm thinking it'd be quicker to convince my dad (in AZ) to buy me something as a gift and go down and pick it up.
