Anyone`s best guess on this bolt carrier backlog? These prices and scarcity a long term concern?.. Look I realize there are some that say Obama may try some sort of executive action..
I `m looking for a couple..
Be patient, they were getting scarce before the big scary panic buy. (They were hard to get last year at xmas too if i remember.)
Then everyone bought them to build stripped uppers. I doubt dipshit would even know what a BCG is, to do something about it.

I've been looking daily but even if I find one it won't matter cause ammo is even harder to find. I'd like to get going on my build but I've considered it on permanent hold until it calms down.

I have lot`s of ammo..I`ll swap for BCG? But I`ll not pay +$300 for an LMT or YHM or other OEM BCG, like is happening now on some of the auction sites. Any Pros out there with an ear to when this BCG thing is going to settle down?
Guess I`ll just bide my time.. My LEO6920 and a couple others will take care of me if the DOO DOO hits the fan soon..I wanted to get these others into the hands of Patriots before it could possibly be "illegal" to do so.
Order a couple, they will be backordered. Then wait.

Where are you finding some to backorder? Everywhere I've looked, they are out of stock with no option to backorder. [dunno]
You'd probably have better luck with local stores than online, since they receive shipments regularly and don't typically take backorders. We called 1-2 places a day for about a week, then lucked out with two Black Rain BCGs that just happened to get shipped in that day.
I was on Bravo Company's auto-notify list, but they only seem to get more once every 1-2 months and they're gone pretty much instantly.

I've made a few calls but being that I'm in retail I can't bring myself to call someone daily since that drives me nuts when people do that to me.
Bravo only makes their BCGs a couple (2 or 3) times a year -- and they sell out stupid quick.

Check RGuns. Just be aware that they are quoting 4-6 weeks for processing and shipping.

I was calling 1-2 -different- stores daily - but we have quite a few stores in a fairly small area here. :) I agree that calling the same store daily would be a really fast way to NOT get the part you were looking for!

I saw that in buyer Intel and placed an order this morning. I have no problem waiting just happy to not pay $300+
I placed one of the 189.00 bcg on order on 2 Feb 2013. At the time the estimated shipping date wasthe "end of Feb". Just received a reply to my email and now they are saying 4-6 months from the orderdate. Disappointing.

I was able to get in on a deal for JBO enhanced BCGs exclusive to members of another gun forum I'm a member of. I've got the BCG in hand and can attest to it's quality. There are also plans to release NiB coated BCGs. Anyone here interested in a potential future group buy if it can be organized?

Higher end BCGs are available. JPs, Fail-Zeros, Youngs, etc. The low end stuff is still tough to find.

Managed to snag a BCM, have a standing order in for two Youngs NM. Have picked up a few AR Stoners (some report they're junk) but it's a small sample. I did pass on the plated ones midway had this morning.
Spend time in front of the computer, watch the in stock threads on barfcom, use a browser page scanner, check arpartsfinder.com
You either spend the time and get lucky, or pay out the wazoo. Don't see it changing much any time soon.

Forgot about that one and I just sent an e-mail this AM for one. ;-)

WMD has been filling orders to distributors pretty routinely, just a lot of backlog to fill, but they are coming available albeit slowly.
