Can we goto the Magpul factory?

Sorry if this has been asked before,

Since Magpul is based here in Colorado, couldnt we theoretically drop by the factory to purchase mags and other furniture? Do they even have a store there or just a factory?

I did a couple of times, years ago. The office is less than a mile and a half from my house and I figured I would save some shipping. They were not really set up to handle walk in business so it was a painful process. They were always nice, and I got to see some neat things laying around, but it is a lot easier to just order now. If you find the right deal not only will you save sales tax, but you can save shipping as well.

I toured the MagPul office and R&D a few times a few years back. Most all of the injection molding is outsourced locally and only the final assembly is done in Erie. Nothing really exiting, except for the tour of R&D. I even got a peek inside one of the safes. I could tell you about it, but then.....Well you know.

I wish they would have a small store at the factory, just to sell their parts, t-shirts, stickers, ect. They wouldn't need to do any install of the parts or anything just a plain store.

They too are right down the street form me I can see their building from my house....seems we have a lot of Erie folk here, maybe we need to do a Meet n greet of Erie people.

Yeah that sucks they no longer take walk ins. I use to and it was so nice. Just don't order stickers from them or an envelope costing $0.45 costs $7 because they have a minimum shipping through FedEx.

I think they closed the Magpul factory down right after they switched to an all tactical Oompa Loompa workforce. I understand that after several brushes with the law in the UK, the Oompa Loompas were forced to abandon the Wonka Candy Company in the UK and seek a more secure work environment. They apparently found that secure workplace in Erie, CO.

Here is a bit of backstory on the cause for the immigration to Colorado. At last years SHOT show, the magpul guys were really cool. No tours and factory store any more, but they did give ma an MS3 sling! [Beer]
