Please, someone who isn't 1000 years old call and ask him something relevant.

Followed by him saying NY has strict gun laws and is enjoying a steady decrease in homicides. Where are his "facts" coming from?

I am on hold but they have an agenda and probably only want "soft balls" for good ol Hick to answer. So far I don't think he has come off totally aginst us.

Just told I could try again next month if I wanted to speak with him. His time was limited.

I'm listening...As usual, his answers follow the political climate. Be nice if he could make a solid stand on anything. I dont trust him.

I'm listening to Rosen right now, what a treat!
The interview with Hick is over, but he's still talking gun control and is a voice of logic and reason. I'm going to have to listen to him more often.

I'm digging it too; still listening.

That little Liberal limp-wrist from the Springs who just called in spit out most of the idiotic leftist ideas I've heard on the topic. I felt Mike shot them down pretty well.

Yeah, Mike is pretty good.

Hick has never done anything positive for gun owners as far as I can remember

Never listened to him. But probably wouldn't like him if tows the line on EVERY usual Republican issue. What station and time?

Hickenlooper walked the line pretty well. I hope more dems are like him and see the winds a-blowing against gun control.

Mike Rosen from 9 to noon every weekday on 850KOA AM. He's all I listen to for talk radio. Mike freeley admits that he's on the right, but also has a very logical standpoint on most issues. If you ever talk to him just don't repeat yourself or answer a question with a question. HA HA.

He's been a good supporter of the 2nd amendment and touts that he owns firearms. His position on the recent events has been refreshing from most of the main-stream media. A caller asked him flat out if he'd rather had a hand gun on him to try and prevent something like at the Aurora theatre, and without hesiatation he said yes. He left it on a nice note saying that the caller would rather have someone else protect him, where he would like to be able to do it himself.

I would think a good deal of the folks on this site would probably like him. Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with him on everything, but more so than any of the other talk show options in the day. And don't forget to turn off KOA right a noon or you'll get stuck listening to Rush Limbaugh.

Mike bugs the shit out of me about 50% of the time. He is very utilitarian with regards to everything - "come now, we must be practical" - and so he gets pretty irritating at times (and, ironically, quite impractical.)

I switch between him and the liberal talk station when I'm out and don't feel like music. Its like switching from boiling hot water to below-freezing salt water. I stick my hand in as long as I can stand and switch to the other. I consider it a patience-building exercise.

The only thing Hick see's blowing is one of hancock's ladies from the sugar club.
He's a D with higher aspirations of something in O's next cabinet. pulling a "Sensible" Gun Ban off in CO all but insures him a seat at the big peoples table. You tell me what position he'll take, Me i believe with degette, pearlmutter, polis & pat Stryker bank rolling the deal we will be CA East.

It's true, homicide has gone down. BUT, it's also gone down everywhere else in the country as well. Much of the world, in fact.

Homicide has dropped, not Violent crime AND felons being arrested with a firearm then let out on bail with in 24-36 hours. The stats are skewed to show gun control works. In the 12 election prior to ED CA OOPS did not file their Unemployment / jobless rates until after the election was over. Which BTW our kid called flames a shooting out of the phone wondering how the hell CA could be called for O when the polls had not closed yet.
History is written by the winners, you see a GOP senate majority?

Don't kid yourselves. If the Dem. controlled house & senate put gun control legislation in front of Hickenlooper, he'll sign it.

His support, neutrality or opposition to such legislation has not insignificant* political weight to it, though.

Bullshit. His support is far ranging ,with the O team backing him from behind the curtains. EVERYTHING he does is not something he thought of but well orchestrated from behind closed "smoke free" doors.
.Once again New Gun restrictions in CO will be the base line for nationwide restrictions. Granted the court fight will be costly and long running. With the Gun Grabbers seeking delay after delay, until they have that extra seat in the SC

No kidding man. I would have paid to see him answer that one.
