I think I still prefer the G34 for the range, but this G19 is very "right sized" in general.

Agreed.
The Glock 19 was my first pistol i could call my own, and it's my favorite. Great carry piece, i trust my life to it!
I have heard that a law is being formulated that would make it mandatory for every person over the age of 21 to own a G19. [ROFL1]

The 19, 26 or even the 36 all work. Does the add on grip in your pic work and will it hold up to cleaning fluid?
I'm issued a 23. But I own a 19. [AR15]

Do you know good gun shop with range where to buy Glock 19 for decent price? I was going to firing line aurora but they don't have it in stock.

the Shootist (http://theshootistguns.net/default.aspx) had some g19 in stock two weeks ago I don't remember the price... personally I'm not in to Glocks (feels like holding 2x4 to me) but with everyone talking about reliability of Glocks I started to looking for one (for cheap [Pepsi]).
P.S. I like more the S&W M&P. I have one in 9mm full size. it has not less then 15k down the range and I didn't have any, ANY problems with it so far.
Glocks are fine guns. I have a first gen and it works well. I don't know where you would find one?

I was at 5280 armory on Wednesday and they had a few Glock 19's in stock. W or W/O nights. I can honestly say that even though I am a huge 45 guy, I love to carry my 19. Shoots well, points well, eats anything and lightweight to boot. The perfect carry gun.

Hey buddy,
I got the tumbler at Harbor Freight for $40 on sale. There is one at Alameda and 225 just west of the highway. It might be more but its well worth it up to $70 or so. The corn cob media that I use is still working and I have cleaned thousands of rounds with it. I'm still up trying to find something worth watching on TV but I am at a loss so far. I think I will watch a movie I've dl.
I will still have the tumbler so whenever you get to the westside let me know. I will hook you up.
DOC.

If I remember right they were around $500 w/o nights and $560 with. I think they maybe had one or two of each. They are open today until 5pm.

Here ya go. The grip is called tru-grip. It does pretty well with the cleaning fluids, but I take care to not get it on the grip when cleaning. It's like skateboard tape with better glue and less course grit. They are pre-cut and there is an additional glue that you can use after adheared to the gun to the two pieces to make it more permanent (still removable).
I have it on all of my competition glocks and find it better than grip stippling.

Does it harm the wood grips underneath at all?
Picked up a G19 a few months ago......going to be my carry gun for sure. Took it out this past weekend and shot it better than my 17.
