I think the "ethnicity" section of any form should be outlawed in the us, apart from medical providers. If we are really racially blind, then why do they ask that question when I want to enroll in a school? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Maybe its really not equal?

I don't really keep track of the "history" if or from where my forefathers migrated (or immigrated) .
I don't have any facts or documents to "prove" any such history at my disposal.

What I DO know is that I was born in America and can prove it with my birth certificate.

If I look at the color of my skin, the shape of my eyes, the accent of my speech, the way I dress, I would be "racially profiling" myself...and that is a no-no.

So, since I was "Born in the USA" (Don't 'ya just LOVE Bruce Springsteen?), I'd like to call myself a "native American".
When I travel to Europe, Japan, China, etc., THEY call me an "American".

...but the US government won't let me do this.

At which generation can we start to identify ourselves as "Americans" to our own government ?
