Damn they shot him then killed him? Haha. Probably some damn combat vets with ptsd. They should have just asked him to go home instead of killing him after they shot him!

Last I heard it wasn't, but has been in the past.
I bet these guys don't have their CC's approval to work an off duty job though, especially at CR. I hope they don't get in trouble.

Okay. Seriously. I've never been there - have been invited a few times for events and the timing has never worked. However, when liberals are talking about gun control to reduce crime, and conservatives are always talking about being tough on crime, how do places like this fit it? We all know the bars downtown require significant police presence, and there are arrests there presumably every night.
Is this okay? Do we, as a society, just accept this level of crime?
More related to the original issue, note that the security guards said the shooter threatened to shoot into the crowd at closing time. This could have been another mass shooting, if not for the presence of armed citizens.

Don't go to places where rough people go if you're not ready for the consequences.
I don't go to those places, if that's someone's scene I don't really care. Send a man to take reports the next morning and let the bar police itself during its operating hours. Police shouldn't be there to keep people safe from choosing to go to risky places.

You didn't say that loud enough. Any idea how many people in the bar?

"The guards claim the man threatened to open fire on a crowd of several hundred people who were leaving the bar; police did not confirm the threat but did say the man shot at the guards who returned fire."

Could have been around that many people, the bar is huge.

There could easily have been more than 1000 people there. I've been there once before. And it is currently off limits for AD air force personnel.

Shooting at active duty US military? This is clearly a case of domestic terrorism! We are a nation at war. They oughta give these guys a medal!
And if the Air Force says off limits, I will definitely stay away...[Beer]
