Of course we all SAY it won't get anywhere, but we also said that America would never succumb to communism... Look how far we've come: http://rense.com/general32/americ.htm

This won't go anywhere. Serrano and another rep. have made multiple proposals to repeal the 22nd amendment with no support.
Third term for Obama? (http://www.factcheck.org/2009/06/third-term-for-obama/)

repost from last week.
As wacky as it sounds, this isn't frickin' N.Korea or Cuba thank God. But this Rep. tries to make this point, no matter what party is in office:
Rep. Hoyer, Feb. 17, 2005: The time has come to repeal the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, and not because of partisan politics. While I am not a supporter of the current President, I feel there are good public policy reasons for a repeal of this amendment. Under the Constitution as altered by the 22nd Amendment, this must be President George W. Bush’s last term even if the American people should want him to continue in office. This is an undemocratic result. Under the resolution I offer today, President Bush would not be eligible to run for a third term. However, the American people would have restored to themselves and future generations an essential democratic privilege to elect who they choose in the future.
No term limits? Does that mean they can be sentenced to life without parole?

Oops, I must have missed that one.
In any case, It doesn't really matter if it passes or not. Just the repeated brazen attempts to throw the constitution in the trash should be disturbing enough... And if you are surprised by this, you haven't been paying attention.

I consider bills like ths to be as non-acceptable as bills to allow non-native born to be President.
This guy must be one of the fearless leader's chief fluffers.

Term limits for congress, a balanced budget amendment, and repeal of OBcare, three things I want but am not likely to get.
On one hand it looks like a joke but to us, who see Obama for who he is, it is no laughing matter. These people are serious. This is a time where Patriots such as us need to get involved. We need to be writing our elected representatives at both the federal and state level and tell them that we do not approve of more gun control nor do we think that any man get to be in office for more then two terms. The 22nd amendment is there for a reason.
Someone else talked about communism, make no mistake, the enemy is among us. The time to start fighting the political fight is now.
I completely agree. To me it is common sense. If a man knows he will only be in office for 2 to 4 years then be part of the general population again he would be much more inclined to fight for constitutionally friendly and freedom minded legislation. He will be much less likely to seek legislation that is anti-public when he knows he will once again join the public.
On that note I think I read that Udal is up for re-election next year. We should start an Anti-Udal complain NOW, a whole year ahead of time. tshirts, bumper stickers, Facebook, and you tube. Get the word out that he is no longer wanted (not that he ever was). We need to grow the Tea Party libertarian movement and get these liberals out of office.
