Can anyone tell me what is required to sell a pistol to my sister in CO while I am a resident (CCW) of OH?

Easiest way is to take it to a dealer in ohio and have them ship it to a dealer in CO (plenty of FFL's here on the forum).

and then have your sister wait the current 9 day wait from the state. I hope that she's not in any danger that needs protection this week

After your sister pays you, have her find an FFL that will work with her and will receive a pistol for her from out of state. Then, you find an FFL that will ship your pistol for you to her FFL. Have her FFL send its information to your FFL so your FFL will ship to them. Then, your FFL ships your pistol off, your sisters FFL receives the pistol, and transfers it to your sister after the background check is done.

An individual can ship to a FFL in another state right? Don't need a FFL to do the shipping, just the receiving.

You are correct, but some FFL's won't take in firearms from out of state unless it is from another FFL. If the brother ships from an FFL, there isn't a problem and everything is hassle free.

First the sister here needs to find an FFL here that will receive from an individual, then the sender has to Put a copy of His DL in the box and ship overnight. $80 + if I am not mistaken.

The sister will have to fill out a Form 4473, yes? I've never bought a gun from a relative, but I have from private sellers in other states and a 4473 was always required. Even if the gun is a gift with no money involved, still need a 4473, yes?

Be sure to get a pic of the event that says: "schoolteacher purchases firearm, film at 11:00"
