Just wait until all this mess starts affecting the welfare people.
I can't wait for this:
So when you’re shooting the breeze in the lunchroom with your grumbling co-workers on the 16th, just ask them, “Who’d you vote for in November?” When they say Mr. Obama, just tell them: “Well, you got what you voted for. You did know he was going to raise taxes, right?”

But it's not a tax increase. It's a former tax break returning to it's normal level. You should be thankful that the government let you keep more of its money for the amount of time it did. The government is just taking back its normal amount of money that you earned for them.
What really sucks is this is just the beginning of the tax increases.

Exactly. If the government had it's way, you would work, your paycheck would go straight to the gov and the gov would decide how much of the money you earned you got to use for you and your family.
Now wait until the cost of living goes up for everyone to account for the increase in taxes against those making $400 K a year (business owners and CEO's) as they raise their prices for goods and services to account for their loss in income. Paycheck goes down and the cost of living goes up.

That is all? Damn I hate this administration! If taxes go up, I have no problem with that money going to our Vets. They have earned it. This horrible administration is only interested in buying more votes from those who haven't earned anything. Disgusting.

But, but I got my job in 2010, so I never had to pay the higher taxes, so it IS a tax increase to me! [Rant2]
Seriously though, I really can't wait to see what my paycheck will be like come the 15th. Mostly because the last time I got paid was on 12/21 due to the holidays. Hoping its not too big of a cut, but by my calculations it should be around $75 deduction per month which is actually going to hurt me a little.
I do understand though that it was a tax break and wasn't always this low, so returning to normal sucks.

I'm interested to see if this will affect the government worker that pays into PERA, not into SS.

Actually I would like to know as well. I pay Railroad Retirement instead of SS , There are 2 tiers to RR, first is the same as SS and the tier 2 is additional, but both are set aside from SS (for now) and tier 1 did adjust both ways along side of SS.

My wife is on PERA, and she never saw the "holiday" breaks, so she is not anticipating any additional deductions as a result of the expiration.
