So I was standing in line buying some gum at Walgreens, and I see the manager and a couple employees standing around something at the cashier stand.
Peer around and it was a loaded 9mm Glock mag they had found in the parking lot. They had it inside a folded sheet of paper, I'm guessing for fingerprint reasons. The manager picked it up from where the employees left it behind the counter, and carried it away like it could "go off" any second. He might have actually crapped himself.
1. Funny to see the fear in everyone's face when confronted with nothing more than a loaded mag.
2. Why couldn't I have found it?
Ok.... pretty boring post, I know.

Was seriously considering slapping my hand on the counter when he touched it.....
But once I made a wise ass crack about a bomb at an airport and was on the no-fly list for 10 years.
BTW... I did go back to my car and make sure my Glock mag was in the gun.

If you meant "funny" in a different context, then disregard, but I don't think this "fear" is funny at all. The fear is what has landed us where we are, as firearms relate to society. The media has told folks to be deathly afraid of these inanimate objects, and many have listened.
Thanks for the story however, it further helps me to understand just how deep this country is in "it".

"Funny" as in unhealthy fear and ignorance.

The only problem with this is why did you not have your glock on you to begin with?

I figured as much, but thought it was worth commenting on
I wonder if it was one of those "evil" "high-capacity" Glock magazines... That would most certainly suck to lose one of those, considering everywhere I've looked for 15rnd mags for either of my EDCs (Glock 22 and Sig 229 9mm) they're backordered. [facepalm]
Wasn't mine. I don't shop at Walgreens and all my property is accounted for. It's at the bottom of the lake! haha
Too bad, I don't even own a Glock, but I would have tried to rescue it from a dumpster and say it was mine.
I wonder if I call them and tell them I lost it in their parking lot if they would let me come pick it up?

Its bad enough losing the mag, but carry ammo is not cheap either.

I'd have Said "Careful Fellas, I hear those things like to shoot roomfuls of people!"
You should have yelled "BANG" when they touched it....
[ROFL1] I do this to my family all the time.
