The poster is posting the same info that can be found on another 5 or so sites.

The info is not bad info, most of it is good, but it is biased.

Of course I am biased as well.

What you want to do with your upper has a lot more to do with what uppers to consider.

I think it's a good primer. Should let you figure out what questions you still need to ask and the info is fairly current.

1/7 twist??
a 1/9-1/12 works well with the light 40gr'ers up to the 55gr thats readily available. the plus side to a 1/9- 1/12 is the ability to run a .22 conversion and shoot .22 all day long on the cheap (for now anyway).
chrome lined yeah its nice however a non-chromed chromemoly steel will shoot as good if not better than chrome lined. M4 feedramps...why?? never had them and not experienced any issues with reliability. cool factor maybe but i'm not one who drinks the name brand
Kool-Aid.
i could go on BUT i'm not a police officer who knows what he likes and his pd leans toward.
however i'm sure others will post their opinions as well. YMMV

I will inject my .02 in this first off Jim covered it pretty well. A chromed lined barrel will take a lot more abuse. However a non chrome lined barrel can be made with much tighter tolerances and be much more accurate.

pick your poision that is what it amounts too, What are you going to use the rifle for? That is what you need to ask yourself.
