View Full Version : Anyone Ever Request a FTF Meeting with a Rep or Senator?

Noticed that DeGette's page has an option to "Request a Meeting."

Has anyone ever tried to get a FTF meeting with any of the CO Reps or Senators? What about the CO State Reps?

Maybe consider getting a group of us together willing to meet up with them and 'make the rounds' - if they allow it.

Couldn't hurt to request a meeting and *if* they agree, there is no doubt they will hear our side. Whether or not they do anything about it is another matter, but isn't it worth a try?

I would love to meet our REPRESENTatives (keyword...) face to face and have a discussion and actually voice feelings instead of typing to a possibly ignored inbox.

I almost invited Amy Stephens to the range last weekend. She is quick to answer emails and seems to be one of the good guys. I'd like a sit down with Hickenlooper to see where he really stands. Not on camera, not with handlers.

He'll have security though, state patrol typically.

That's fine, I just want him to know it is off the record, as I'd like to get some actual candid answers. Not that I'm expecting anything but a sales pitch, but I'd like to give him a chance to convince me otherwise.

He's a politician. There's no such thing as "off the record".

Except between politicians or their handlers.

"So, since you're obviously too ignorant about the subject to be able to make actual law on the subject of firearms, do you freely admit to being a fascist tool and enemy of the people?"

Are you donating towards their cause? If not... Fat chance.

I met with Allard and bob Schaeffer years ago. Accessible and same train of thought. Now you have reps whose trains have derailed.

I've been in the house face to face with one of this states senators. Didn't speak policy with him. Work rules/policy. I did however use his restroom.
