generally you just piss off the right people. If you'll note, one of us is "i whined and got a title". Maybe if you do the same they'll give you "long enough and hard enough". But that detracts from the main purpose, which is to be demeaning while hazing.

Ok... Here's how it happened. I was a member of another forum where the mods would memorialize posting something (usually typing something stupid) in the user's title. It was kind of a right of passage and done with regular contributing members. When I became a mod, I suggested the same format here. It was met with a little trepidation. Some talk about members having sand in their VJs over it, hurt feelings... Anyway, Monkey was the test subject. Then a couple more. Then a couple more.

Ginsue and I did most of the first ones. Ginsue and I are probably responsible for more than our share of them, although pretty much everyone is involved in it now.

Actually the I one I'm most proud of is Sparky's (with help from another mod). That involved a name and avatar change and the pic came from another site. Thats some serious work, and probably the most fitting to date.

Its all pretty much male bonding psychology. You just have to let it happen. Trying to force the title change cheapens it.
