No gouging here. I had everything ordered by Black Friday... so I was lucky enough to get normal to GREAT pricing on every component! I was traveling most of December though and didn't have a chance to put it together until this weekend. It was surprisingly a breeze to assemble.

Nice looking build! I didn't realize that Magpul made an enhanced trigger guard. I will be looking for one of them now.

I haven't had the chance to take it out and shoot it yet, but the Aimpoint Pro seems like it is gonna be a great sight. I have a little bit of a problem with it... being that I have astigmatisms in both of my eyes. Astigmatisms kind of prevent the red dot from being crisp and clear... it ends up looking a little bit like a fuzzy bunch of grapes. It is really noticeable in my right eye and less noticeable in my left eye... but the astigmatism in my right eye is more agressive. The good thing, though, is I have LASIK surgery scheduled for both eyes in a couple of months. Eye-doc says it should clear those astigmatisms right up, so I'm looking forward to a nice, crisp, clean red dot in the Pro.

yes... that is a standard mount. It is actually quite nice for an included mount. If I ever end up getting a magnifier though, I'll have to switch to an offset mount. But this one will do just fine in the meantime.
