If nothing else, this video shows the scale of today's landscape pretty well.

It's a cute over-simplification of the situation.

The reason that the dot can keep the throng in line with its small number of enforcers is the same reason that a single bank robber can keep a bank full of a dozen people from storming him and stomping him to death with a 5 shot revolver. He may not be able to kill all of you, but if he can kill just one of you that's usually enough to stop the larger group of people from acting.

It doesn't matter that the throng outnumbers the enforcers, the throng is made up of individuals ... each individual sees the balance of power as them as an individual (and much smaller than even the tiny dot) up against not only the larger dot of enforcers, but also against the almost as large throng of those that don't pay anything in taxes and yet still vote along with a certain percentage of the tax paying throng that agrees with the tiny dot's actions.

Exactly. Which explains, I think, why the 'divide and conquer' methodology is so effective! If we could all see ourselves united, things may be different...

the issue is that although most of us do want change for the better we conservatives are just that, we are conservative, we keep to ourselves and make close but typically few friends, we dont walk in the streets and run our big mouths, we are working and have little time to make noise and scream,

we rarly have rallies and we dont expect others to bend to our will

we are conservative in our views and in the way we handle politics, we think that common sense will prevail and we are losing our country and our children's future because of it.
