Sig P229R 9mm... Best pistol I've shot... EVER.

So FINALLY, after almost a week of ownership I got some free time to go to the range and fire my new P229R 9mm. I love it! Put the laser/light on it halfway through, dialed in the laser so it was doped to the iron sights, and looked over the gun instead of through the sights and it's dead nuts accurate! Two 10 round mags- one mag with iron sights, one with laser and had some good grouping... Seriously, I've shot all kinds of pistols, from the Hi-Point (crap) to the M9 (not a fan) to a Nighthawk Custom GRP, and this, to this day is my favorite! I know it's all based on personal preference, but I love this 10x more than my Glock 22! [Beer]

NICE! I had one in .40 but sold it because I wanted a 9mm. I prefer striker fire but the P229 is a great pistol.

I used to have my Glock 22 as my EDC, but this replaced it. I like striker fire, but I hate the grips on the Gen3 Glocks (I don't have very big hands).

I can understand about the small hands, love my sig 226 but the original grips made them too bulky, once they came out with the e2 grips, it was a whole different feel and fit my hands perfectly.

I've got the 229R-E2 as well and love it from a feel perspective. It shoots low for me, so I need to work with the iron sights a bit (yes, I've verified that it has the recommended size sights as per Sig) but overall it feels like it was specifically cut for my hand (after I added the Hogue grips, which all my Sigs carry).

I have the same 229 and It is a very nice peice. I just wish the mags were a little cheaper. I also need to install the SRT trigger for some reason the one i got dosent have it.
