If they do old ones will be grandfathered in. Mag makers will make mags that are the same size as current 30 or what ever round mags with a detent to limit the number of rounds that can be inserted. Magpul or who ever will continue to make the guts for the grandfathered mags so you can rebuild them. Remove detent and install rebuild kit. Big whoop.
