Well now, you probably won't be missed anyhow.[Wink]
How was the last one Bob?
I might go just as long as it's not a frantic packed bunch..
it is always a packed house, so I imagine this one will be worse, I'm going backpacking in the mountains that weekend so I will not be attending.
love the show in pueblo; definetly woth the drive.

I wanted to go but me and the family will be spending the weekend up at Estes Park.
Damn family time.
It is nice not to have to drive all the way up to Denver though.
-are guns still going to be legal on the 19th/20th?

Ahhhh Just use the old "Loophole" trick........can somebody fill me in as to what that is exactly?
I looked for the "Loophole" at the last show I went to but could not find it. Is it that shoulder thing that goes up?

Any reports with the Sertoma Show at Rustic Hills today?
Thinking about going a few hours before closing after doing a few errands.

Sorry but I have not had the opportunity to attend the last few Pueblo shows. I really believe none of the recent Tanner Pueblo shows have been duds from what I have heard.
Sent from my iPad.

I believe the "loophole" thing was pretty well eliminated when Colorado went with the mandatory BG check at all CO gun shows.

Looks like I will be attending the Tanner PUEBLO gun show this coming weekend 1/19 & 20th ( unless it snows South of Pueblo )...
[blaster]
I'll be there and have a table rented. At latest count, I will have 4 AR's, 1 Golani, 1 Daewoo, and 3 FAL's on the table. One FAL is a new-unfired Argentine built on an Imbel receiver, another is a new DSA short gas system para on a DSA T2 receiver, and the last is a used, but nice StG-58 kit built on an Imbel receiver. Three of the AR's are M4 A3 flat tops and the last is a JP Enterprises tricked out upper on a DSA lower with a unique JPE laminated thumbhole buttstock.
I see I am listed as a newbie, but I originally signed up for this site back in 2004 or 2005. Went on a couple of shoots in the NF with people from this site.
See you there. Best Regards, Slo cat
Wanted to make it down to one, just to check it out, see what different vendors it may bring. Looking at Saturday.
I'll likely be wearing my forum hat.

How was it?
Anyone with a show report?
Not bad, considering current conditions, but I like a slow pace and elbow room. This was my first P-Town Tanner, but I like the layout there, kind of old school, not generic warehouse feel of merch mart Tanner. I could do without the $69.95 basic black pmags and $3000 AR's, and there wasn't a ton of variety, but aside from the expected gouging, I'd attend again. It was a beautiful day for a drive, and there were actually a few deals to be had, depending on what you were looking for. This could be a really good show under different market conditions.
I did off-load some ammo and mags on some vendors (for more than I would feel good about selling them for on here, and it leaves them a pretty thin margin), so I was able to pick up a couple items I was looking for at a decent price, with their subsidy, and came home with money in my pocket even after expensing fuel and a dinner for 2.
Thanks crays. I've never been.
I'm considering a trip to Denver's tanner next weekend. Those that normally attend is there benefit to attending on day 2?

Second time I've gone to this show. Decent sized, and normally a decent selection. There was alot of mags, for high prices of course, and high dollar ARs, and high priced reloading stuff. All of this is market driven mind you, so I cant fault the show. In normal times its worth going, but I doubt I'll bother with shows 'till the hysteria dies down.

I thought it was a much better than normal show other than the prices on some stuff that were absolutely crazy! Table right next to my little space had new AR's for in the mid $1,300 price and they did move pretty dang quickly. Of course the most expensive items were the magazines, both PMags and even Gov. surplus used 30 rounders. This show was good enough for me to consider having a table of my very own at their April show IF I can accumulate enough stuff to justify renting space and make enough to at least pay for fuel for the 200+ mile round trip. There were not really that many junk sellers (Junk = stuff other than shooting related stuff) there.
I really did not see any powder, primers or projectiles there although did notice quite a few empty cartridge cases but didn't check the prices of those since I sold off almost all of my reloading stuff with the exception of my .50BMG reloading stuff. All together - nice show worth attending. [blaster]

Does anyone know how long the background checks are taking?

I'm sure Denver Tanner will still be a ZOO, and I wouldn't expect the slower pace and extra elbow room afforded by the Pueblo show. A lot of the dealers I spoke with have started voicing concerns about maintaining stock levels. That could just be fluff to justify the high prices, but I felt a few of them were sincere.
Pros and Cons to Sunday, IMO. Some of the "standard" items (think primers, powder, etc) will be gone early Saturday, and in this climate, the majority of the dealers aren't any more willing to dicker over prices Sunday afternoon than they are on Saturday. It seems like Sunday thins out a little earlier, crowd-wise.
My two cents worth.

Where was your space?
The fellow who allowed me some space for my few things on his table was slo cat and his location was right next to (just South of the) table selling the FROG oil. That was down stairs kinda in the middle of everything. Table to our back was the guys selling paracord bracelets and holsters. Was a good location but I believe there are NO bad locations at the Pueblo gun show unless you are located BETWEEN some crap/junk sellers hawking their trinkets etc. I cannot believe what .223 ammo priced at and was actually selling for. I had some imported .308 ammo to sell and got extremely little interest in it but that'll change soon too.[blaster]

Thanks guys good information.

Fixed it for ya.[Flower]
I purchased a Remington 1100 Tactical on Thursday 1/10. Got a call last Friday, 1/18. That's eight days, but exactly the time frame the gun store told me when I made the purchase. The lack of inventory might be working in "favor" of buyers today. Seems like every shop I've visited in the past week has been challenged to keep inventory in stock. As a result of the surge in sales, there are now fewer guns to be sold and it will take some time for the manufacturers to re-stock the supply chain. It seemed the peak was just after the first of the year, which might help keep the backlog from getting higher, and with each passing day, the backlog seems to be falling. The week before I purchased, my buddy bought an M4 and it took 10 days. My check took eight days, and the backlog might be lower still.
