12 days and counting. Due to some circumstanses I may try and do it this Sat. thus freeing Myself on the 12th for something else. Would anybody else be interested?
I really want to make it up to this one, i want to pick some brains on AR's and get my rifle sighted in properly with some guidance from you guys if possible. I'm in for either site, but i'm closer to the North. If anyone wants to carpool, let me know.
And i could make it this Sat. if that works for others too. I've been up to the North Site 2 Friday's in a row, had the place to myself both times :D
I should be able to make the north site on the 12th. Need to sight in the scope and really want to shoot my PS90.

I am going shooting this weekend at FT Morgan with Alan.[AR15]
You going north or south? Karl. [Flower]
Most likely South, Foot still doesn't like hills. Still thinking about this SAt. May see how the weather goes.

Almost wish I could go to this one.

How long of a drive to the South spot from 120th/Federal area? Took me about 45 minutes to the North Site from where i live, i'm guessing at least double that?
Going the back way, down through Deckers, it's around 1 1/2-2 hours.
The 12th is out for me, 3 gun on that day. This Sat. (south) I'll go, if I'm not gonig to be the only one.
I might go ahead and go this week, Of course I may have to see if My finger recovers in time.
I'd really like to attend if possible. My calendar is wide open and I have a compass... so north, south, east or west is good by me. Just let me know where to show up and what to bring.
If as a newbie it's my job to bring the ice chest or load the stapler or fetch the brass or something I'm OK with that too.[Tooth]
When the SHTF it all happens at once, I will be unable to go this Sat. I can do it on the 12th but, I will have to leave about 1:30.

That's right, toy with peoples emotions and just pull the rug out! http://mywebpage.netscape.com/csbronco223/images/cheese.jpg
I can't go this weekend, but that's beside the point! http://mywebpage.netscape.com/csbronco223/images/smile-l.gif
Since the 12th is not working out for some of us, how about a south shoot on the 19th? I would be willing to set up and run a “shoot and scoot / fire and maneuver “ lane, per the “Get more out of the shoots” post, and a 25m zeroing range lane for those who have said they need it. This inanition to the static lane we always have. What do you think, any takers?
I am open for whatever works for everyone. I should be zeroed and was planning on the 12th and meeting you all. Looking forward to having some fun, shooting and learning.
I'll bring the beer.
Weinhardt's root beer that is.
I can still go the 12th I'll just have to leave a little earlier than normal. Meaning, I might even get down there a little earlier.

a little earlier.
So, like Friday night? [Coffee]
The way, I have the feeling this week is going to go, Thursday Morning, possibly Wed. afternoon.[Tooth]
So its supposed to be real nice this weekend and I NEED to get out and shoot....Is anyone going north this weekend?
I'm planning on heading to the north site on Saturday. Not sure what time just yet.
I'm hoping to head to the North Site, weather permitting.
Anyone around the Westminster (120th/I25) area that wants to carpool? Is there usually a good turnout for the North Site club shoots (seems most go South)?
We've had 19-21 up there one time. Of course, Karl points out that there were 25 or so down south once.
Unless something wacky happens between now and then He should be. I may try and get down there 8-8:30 since I'll have to leave by noon or so.

Karl plead guilty to arson and he thinks the club shoot rules do not apply to him. No offense Karl you made your choice and now you have to live with it.
Last time I checked the club rules state no Felons and I don't wish to explain to LE why I am shooting with a felon.
Karl you want to go have pizza and a beer I am good to go however if you want to partake in an activity that involves firearms I am out.
You all can kick me in the nuts or do as you wish I speak my mind as always. Karl I mean no offense by this but it seems you don't understand what you got your self into.
Let me make it very simple your firearm hobby is OVER PERIOD!
We all make choices in life and we all make bad ones at times unfortunatley you made a choice Karl that takes away a hobby you love. I feel bad that you have to give up something that you love as much as I do but that is life. You made a choice and now you must live with the consequences.
There is nothing wrong with his facts. I was told this by the DA's office: He plead guilty. His sentencing is set for mid May. It is an open plea meaning the judge will determine his sentence. If anyone wants to confirm HunterCO's facts they can call the DA's office at 719-520-6919.
Thanks for the info. I was worryed that something had happend at a shoot.

HunterCO's facts? [ROFL1] That's rich. Hey Tim, did you call the DA's office?
Yep I sure did!
Well, I do welcome anyone to make the call. But please walk into that call properly educated. Don't let word games fog things. Ask them what I am CONVICTED of, and what day that took effect under the law.
You where never conivcted in the sense that you went to trial instead you plead guilty. You plead guilty to attempted arson which I might add is a felony. It took effect the very day you plead guilty that is how it works. Exactly what education does one need to pick up a phone and call the DA's office to find out the facts????????
A plea bargain has been offered. If and when the judge, and both sides all accept that plea, it will be done.
You already accepted the plea which is why you plead guilty. If you had not accepted the plea and plead not guilty it would have went to trial for 1st degree arson. You took a plea of attempted arson instead that is why they call it a plea.
You plead guilty and now you go to sentencing your public defender will argue for a lighter sentence and the DA will argue for a harder sentence. The judge will make a decision and that is the end you have no say in it. You dont have a choice of whether or not you accept it.
Until then, nothing has changed, I am not convicted yet.
You plead guilty same thing pleading guilty means you are convicted.
That being said, I have accepted the plea, and as long as the judge dpes accept it, it will be final in May. Until that time, I am not convicted. Oh, and I didn't plead guilty to anything, but then again, WORD GAMES for now.
Yes and when you accepted the plea and plead guilty you are convicted the only person I see playing word games is you.
After the deal is final, I can and will tell everyone more about what happened and why. Until then, I cannot say much. Karl.
I can't wait to here it! I am not going to argue with you I said what I had to say and if anybody doubts anything I said they can call the DA's office themselves.
enough said.
Club Specific Rules
5) No felons allowed.
Maybe this rule needs to be expanded to state something about, no individuals legally unable to posses a firearm and felons should not be present.
It could use some word smithing since I don't want it to even imply that parents can't bring a kid with them.

Was there in fact a guilty plea? If so, I shall not be attending when the person who made the guilty plea to a felony is present. I'm not opening myself up to a felony charge. No way, no how. I've never met the man in question and I have no opinion of personality, etc. I simply can't afford the risk.

It does not need any "word smithing" it is called common sense. No Felons they can not even touch a firearm period. Kids on the other hand are not felons. Not to mention if they are with a legal gaurdian they can posses and shoot a firearm a Felon cant.
What part of the rules do you not understand?
I must admit that this has been bothering me. I guess I was hoping that the folks that have founded this club would have taken action without it coming down to a thread in the forum.
I don't even want to get into a legal dialogue. I feel that my trust and that of the group was taken advantage of. That's not something I take lightly.

What part of the rules do you not understand?Apparently you missed my point and just want to be nasty.
I'm saying this should be expanded to include anyone even under an indictment or restraining order where part of the legal proceedings is they can not posses a firearm, before so much as a plea or conviction is in place.
Right now I see where some people are trying to split hairs about the definition of felon and I want to remove this as even a slight loophole which I think goes against common-sense.
Okay here's the deal.
I have not dealt with this until now for a reason. In this country we are all innocent until proven guilty. Up until now I have heard rumors but have not seen anything that shows me that Karl has been found guilty or took a guilty plea. The case is listed in our super secret CJIS computer system and I was waiting until an official disposition was reached. It does show a date for a disposition.
I did this because I held out hope that Karl was not guilty and would be exonerated. At this point I do not know what the final outcome will be. A deal can be offered, and it can be turned down. It can also be thrown out by a judge if he or she deems it to be inappropriate.
There is always the possibility that Karl could be aquitted, and or found guilty of a lesser charge, like a misdemeanor. So I don't know what will happen.
I have not spoken to Karl about this. I should have. But as I say, I was hoping for the best. And that is why I have taken no action up until this point.
I am looking into this. And for the record, no felons are allowed at shoots. And they never will be.
Thanks for your patience. I appreciate it. This will be resolved soon.
Thank you, Roger. I'll withhold further comment.
