Found that they have new FMJ 150gr .308 in stock. The 'new' part leads me to believe this is new brass. Whats the word on the street about these guys?
I've bought from them before (kracy deals). Reliable and fast shipment, not sure if this has changed since the panic.

GO. I have purchased thousands of rounds of various calibers from them. NEVER a problem.

Good to go. I have plenty of their ammo. Shot about 300-400 rounds so far of their 5.56 and 9mm. No FTE or FTF.

Definitely a good company.
ETA: I've bought several thousand rounds of new and reloaded 9mm, .223, and 5.56 from them. It all shot great. It was a tiny bit dirtier than the federal ammo that I usually shoot, but it was accurate and problem free the entire time.
Just got a shipment from them last week. On time and good product tracking from them
I've shot a bunch of their 45ACP, no issues at all in accuracy or reliability. I do have two very minor complaints:
It leaves the gun a noticeable bit dirtier than most other Ammo I shoot. Unfortunately their 45 seems to be all SPP, I'd prefer LPP, but I can't complain too much about that. Though it is funny watching Spleify get pissed off about having to sort LPP vs SPP in the dirt on the range when we are both shooting 45 and he wants to save brass from LPP only. [Coffee]
I've bought 9mm from them, no problems.
I have bought a lot from these guys, the last 308 150 gr stuff was reloads and the brass was pretty dirty but what I shot of it was fine no issues. Same with their 5.56 stuff, once fired brass and not going to win purdy pageants with it but no function issues.
I bought some new 9mm 115 JHP from them and spiffy as can be, again no problems.
My most recent was a bulk buy of 300 blk and it was 50/50, some of the brass looked new and some did not.
As far as shipping was a week 1/2 on average. I ordered my bulk 300 blk 4 days before xmas and just got it last week. So 2-3 weeks wait, but I think every shop has had those delays.

I guess I'll be the turd in the punch bowl.
I bought 5 cases of 9mm to try as training ammo (2x 115gr, 1x 124gr, and 2 x 147gr). Right off the bat I noticed a marked expansion in group size. 25yd slow fire, off hand groups were about three times the size that I normally shoot. The ammo was consistently inconsistent. I'd get a few rounds grouped tightly and then a random flier. When I pushed into 5-7yds I saw key holing. For some reason the bullet wasn't being stabilized properly.
The weapons were a G17 and a G19. It may have had something to do with the Glock's polygonal rifling but I didn't have a chance to drop in a match barrel and try it again. I'm going to run some more when I get home and see how the ammo does with conventional groove rifling.
Well after OP posted I ordered 1k of 9mm, let's see how my experience is. I usually like the heavier 124gr,
Shot over a thousand rounds of their 9mm. Not one issue.

I've also used them with great success.
Shot about 3k thru M&P 9 and a G17. I like this stuff, is it perfect ... no. A few FTEs here and there, and sum batches are a lil dirtier than others. For the price tho it is well worth it.
Bottom line...i still buy it for plinking and training .
Good stuff in .223/5.56. Although it was a little dirty.

I'll add another turd to the punchbowl.
Since "The Panic" started, it's hit or miss as to whether or not you'll receive your entire order. I ordered 240 rounds of .308 150gr New and 100 rounds of .223 55 gr. reman. I got an email two weeks later stating that my order had shipped. When I looked at my order page, it showed that both items had shipped. HOWEVER, when I looked at the details for my order, it showed that only the .223 had shipped and that the .308 part of my order was canceled. I only checked the details because they had done this exact same thing to my previous order.
1. Even if what you order is in stock when you order it, they could end up canceling it on you because they've "run out of components"
2. They'll never tell you they've canceled part of your order in the shipping email they send you (I asked them to do this as a matter of customer courtesy and was told that it's too much work)
3. If they cancel part of your order, you'll have to reorder what you didn't get because they don't track what they didn't ship (once they mark an item as "shipped," it no longer shows as needing to be filled)
4. If you reorder (assuming it shows in stock again), you'll go right to the back of the line where you started
I think the problem is that they put high volume orders ahead of smaller orders. Since they produce ammo for ranges and other groups, you're the little guy on the totem pole so are likely to get screwed in favor of "more important" people. It should be noted that when they canceled my .308, a post on Facebook indicated that they had a shit ton of it in their retail store. They're picking and choosing whose order to fill. It's shitty customer service.

It's not poor customer service....
Lemme run it by you this way.... Cancel a $50-$60 order to fill a $5k-$6k order.... Or cancel the $5k-$6k to fill a single $50-$60 order....
Or maybe this way.... Cancel a long standing, high volume, loyal, repeat customer's order to fill a no name, single person, low volume, one off order?
Does any of that make any sense to you?
Yep, you're right, your piddly little 100 round order is the low man on the pole.

Their website sucks, shopping cart was failing yesterday
My guess is it was over capacity. Small company/basic website might not be able to accommodate the extra traffic. They completely shutdown their online ordering today to give them time to catch-up.
I have only ordered bullets from them but they are great.

Let me run it past you this way (from a customer service perspective, not a $$$ perspective, since you've stated it's not poor customer service)........
1. You go into McDonald's and order a Big Mac and fries
2. Right behind you comes in a construction worker who comes in every day and orders 10 Big Macs. He places his regular order of 10 Big Macs.
3. You're told, "Here are your fries." with no explanation as to why you didn't get your Big Mac. When you press for an answer, you're told, "We had your Big Mac when you ordered it but because our regular customer came in and we needed that Big Mac for them."
4. You're told that if you want a Big Mac you have to go to the back of the line and wait behind the other 20 people who also just came in wanting Big Macs. You're not given the option of stepping to the side to wait while more Big Macs are made so you can get the next one up.
Are you happy with this solution? Do you think this is good customer service?
If you screw one customer over in favor of another, it IS poor customer service no matter the dollar amount involved. It is the very definition of poor customer service. Good customer service means treating EVERY customer as if they're the most important. It means that the guy who places a small order is just as valuable to the company as the one who places a large order. It means that if you can't fill the small order, you try to work with that customer to find a solution that you both can live with. You don't just give them an, "Oh well, little man," and go on your merry way.
Good financial sense does not necessarily equal good customer service. So whereas yes, your argument for this being of sound financial judgement makes sense, it does not mean that what they're doing is good customer service.
Does any of that make sense to you?

I did get the email stating that due to high demand that all orders are not guaranteed. I'm hoping that I made it under the bar just in time and that it will ship in the next few weeks. I will just cross my fingers and see. Either way I get what I get...

100 rounds? don't go crazy!
i really like the freedommunition ammo--i start at the blaster page--it's every bit as good as their regular ammo. i don't need a case to shine like it came out of a treasure chest to work for me.

I prefer to see for myself that something is going to work in my firearm before spending money on large orders. It's my ammo version of the stinky pinky test

Now that there made my day. Blahahahahaha. Funny shit. And true. I remember having to sell a case of ammo because my LMT did not work well with it. Would have tested the waters first. So to speak.
Las far as freedom goes, just got my 3rd shipment. 2000 9mm and 1000 40sw. 3 weeks from order to my door.

05/31/15 : I ordered 500rds of 300BLK reman 147gr and 250rds of 300BLK reman 208gr, $447 + $16 S&H. Both items were in stock, and still show as in stock w/ well over 500 quantity in stock for both items.
06/11/15 : Order status on website shows Processing. Hrmm, I give customer service a call to check up on it, leave a voicemail with my detailed order/customer info. Get an email that night from a rep saying she'll send my packing slip to shipping and see what the holdup on my order is. I thank her and never hear back from her.
06/16/15 : I get an email from freedommunitions saying my order has been shipped. They give me a UPS tracking number. Order status on the FM website says my order's been shipped. That charge has gone through on my credit card.
06/19/15 : Tracking info on UPS website for my # says label created on 06/16/2015: The current status 3 days later? A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.
Not impressed by my latest purchase. I've spent thousands with them by now.

I do know they had a production QC issue on their .223 reman a while back. I got an email instructing me to send it all back and they'd replace it for free. I had already shot it without issue though. That may or may not have something to do with it. Hope your situation gets resolved.
I order from them once a year when they have their flat rate shipping specials. Have had good results from their 5.56, both 62gr and 55gr. More accurate than the PMC brass cased stuff I was shooting previously. 2-3" groups rather than 3-4" at 100m. I haven't shot their 9mm side by side with any other brands to compare accuracy there, but function has been fine. Will have to try that next time I do some practice at the range.
Like any company that is large, they have their problems. Overall, good company and good ammo. I know and shoot with several of their sponsored shooters and also know a few of the guys and gals that are higher up in the company. They currently have something like 60+ job openings and are selling more ammo direct to consumers than some of the other big companies produce in total. FM is one of seven companies under Howell Manufacturing and they are huge. They sell and source to several other ammo manufacturers as well as produce a line of ammo for retail sale.
Not making excuses for your slow shipment Kestrel. If it does not work out, drop me a line and I will get you to someone who can take care of it for you.

Ah very generous of you, thanks! It's just kind of weird of them. Normally their orders have shipped within a few days, if not a week. I just wished they were upfront with the reason for the delay, and followed through on customer service (instead of doing the 'ole "create shipping label and call it shipped" manuever). I'll keep waiting and give them another call next week if nothing happens. There quality is great IMO with extremely competitive prices, I don't think I've had a single dud in thousands of rounds.

I don't know what it's like now, but when I was in Lewiston in Oct last year there was a string of semis waiting to load/unload. They looked extremely busy from the outside. Not an excuse, just an observation.
I've ordered from them several times without issue. One of the best deals going on ammo.
