View Full Version : Reloader 10x
I picked up 5lbs of 10x at the gun show last Saturday thought I'd give it a try for $82 no tax. Any one familiar or have a favorite load for .223/5.56 or .222? I've got hornady Speer and nosler manuals and checked alliants site some good info from those but it would be great if someone had some first hand knowledge to share.

No first hand knowledge, sorry. Just consider this a bump for your thread, or tagged because I'm always interested.
Looking at a burn rate chart, it's falling among the faster burning powders that seem most useful with lighter bullet weights.
Thanks for the bump I've got a bullets everywhere from 36gr on up....
I bought some a while back and use it for 55gr plinking rounds. I got it for like $8 a pound from gander on a blowout sale and I have been happy with it. I mostly just load for velocity and it works out great. I wish that they would have had more in stock. I have not really fine tuned any loads with it, but the accuracy seems just fine for cranking out some .223 for blasting. It has been a few months since I have used it so I would have to consult my reloading book to remember the recipe, but I do not remember anything specific or troubling with it. Good buy considering that I cannot find anything anywhere for even close to that price point.
Thanks Danimal I just bought it for plinking for the same reason you said I couldn't find any powder for ".223" for a reasonable price I have varget for shooting small groups but that stuff is $$$$ if you can find it. It you have time I'd like to know what loads you've tried it will give me a little head start

I've used it for a few years, 55gr bullet, 23.0 grain load. What the Alliant book says. Works well, cheap powder, but is a little grainy going through the powder measure.
Does it meter about like varget?

rough and crunchy, like it's full of sand. Not sure how varget meters, never have used it.
