What to do with powder

I had 2 bullet heads that were pushed into the casings and the powder was dumped everywhere.

How do I dispose of the powder I recovered safely? Just throw it away? mix it with water and dump it?

A score or two of grains of powder from two cartridges is not a significant danger. It is like a couple of millilitres of gasoline. Put it in the trash or if you are worried, scatter it on the lawn.

There was a guy on another forum that loaded pistol rounds with unknown WTF powder - just treated it as the fastest burning powder out there. Apparently, he got it to work. I have to say I'd have to be in a really bad spot to try that. EEK!

Haha, that is ridiculous! I was thinking of reducing it with alcohol and making little rocket engines out of it for shits and giggles.

Forget the fact that if its not evenly distributed as a mix, then its burn rates would be all over the place on each load. Now if you had a test bench with an action and barrel designed for testing where you could fire it behind a blast panel it could be fun to mess around with, but to put it in a pistol and pull the trigger yourself is an easy way to nominate yourself for a darwin award.

Well, I suppose you mix it up and assuming it's all pistol powder, start with three grains and work up. I'm surprised Hoser hasn't tried this in 9 major.
