View Full Version : Pmags
Anyone have any connections at Magpul?
I am curious when/IF we will see mags up for sale again. I've read here on the forum that they're manufacturing them but I'm surprised I haven't seen become available anywhere. Anyone know what's up?

Also keep in mind they don't just make PMAGs, everything they make from forends to butt stock is out of stock everywhere. They will be filling backorders on all of their products for months.
Search? I have to do my own homework here?

I heard from a buddy that if Magpul catches any store selling their pmags for higher than their originally posted market value that Magpul will not sell to that store anymore. Anyone else hear this?

Most small shops get their Magpul product through distributors and not directly from Magpul.

They just displayed the new case at SHOT show this week. Now if they only made them for useful phones like the Galaxy S3

So considering the backorders and the strong possibility of another hi-cap ban in the near future, what does everyone think is "fair" price now for a NIP non-windowed PMAG?

The Pmags are about the only thing FL raised prices on- we get them off the secondary market and thus have to pay more for them. They are still the cheapest on-the-shelf Pmags in the Denver metro area. We have some AKs and ARs as well, but they are consignments, as a result they are overpriced.

Jensens up in Loveland will.
Jensen's is awesome! But they are in short supply just like everyone else.
However someone needs to inform MagPul about Bear Arms in Windsor...selling Gen2 Pmags for $60
They say it's because it's from the owner's private stash; then I guess the 5.56 xm193 rounds at $1/per rd are from his stash too?
NOT cheaperthandirt.com is selling them for $99.97

Wow, there was probably close to 200 (of both) when I was there a little after noon.
Although, my count could have been off, as it's not often I see that many PMags in one place!

There were probably 2-3 shelves/bins full with more hanging on pegs when I was there. I guess I'm not surprised though since everyone in the store had 2 in hand, and as I was walking out there were quite a few people walking in. My wife made a comment to me about beating the rush, to which my response was "it's always like that"

So true.... Almost everytime I see a site that says they have mags instock they are overpriced. I received 3 PMAg M3's today, 3 More arrive tomorrow and I paid $15 each including shipping
I have 5 Gen 2's that shipped today and paid $12 each plus shipping. And I ordered them all less than 7 days ago, I still have 30mags on Backorder from other retailers, and actually have considered canceling all but my FDE back order as black pmags seem to be getting easier to find.

Did they tell you this or someone else? Until the actual document is up for a final vote, rumors and hearsay are running rampant. I wonder how this new "law" will affect denver as they went to court to exercise their Home Rule status. Which By Law gave them the right to restrict mag limit to 20 rounds. Oh the confusion and royal fukin the libs have given everyone.

I was there yesterday speaking with the owner and the manager and heard no such thing.
I believe there was even some discussion of this in the legislative thread and people were saying the bill states that they would be a grandfathering and asking how they could keep track of which mags were "pre-ban" since they don't have serial numbers.
I looked at some of my Ronan USGI mags and they appear to have a date stamp on them though...

If they make it so that you can not transfer them then that is messed up and should lead to a lawsuit

Most if not all AR mags have ID marks and or date stamped that were mfg after 9/94. Exception being those holding 10 or less rounds. Remember there are now (or soon to be) 2 different MFG dates of Pre ban mags one for prior to 9/94 and earlier for states not effected by any restrictions.
Some pre 9/94 mags had no date of mfg, others did which can be located on side of body or (some) inside. POST 2004 AWB sunset and all made after 9/94 have dates and or marked RESTRICTED LE/MIL The new Ban Era for us lucky enough to be in states obsessed with SAFETY anything mfg (if passed) and date stamped prior to 7/2013, will be legal.

I see the date on the packaging for both the USGI and PMag, but where is it on the actual PMag itself? Is the "CAGE1LX50" some kind of code?
Now the USGI mags I have have stamped dates on them...
Magpul testified on Tuesday that they have date stamped their mags since 2007.

Label: Cage Code ,next to that Copyright 2012. And as mentioned by MAP. date stamped / id since 07.. FWIW: anyone with 1/2 an idea how to go online can see magpul didn't introduce Pmags until well after 1994. Which is one of the reasons USGI mags w/out date stamping is / Was popular with states that enacted their own 94 Crime Bill. At least until mid december. Now ????????

I just bought 4 PMAGs Gen2 on Gunbroker for $100, plus 8.50 shipping which is almost a trade for sales tax. There are some on there if your patient. I was expecting this to get bid outside my range, but no one else even bid. Seller feedback was great and mags were new in the wrapper
Note there are two sectiuons, featured that goes up in time and then the 2nd section starts. I usually find the best deals in the second section. Thinking most people don't realize to look for it. Right now there is 10 PMAGs with 50 minutes left that looks like a good deal

How exactly do you get to section 2?
Nevermind...it's such a pain in the ass to even to register on GunBroker, I'm not even going to bother.
I'd like some more PMags, but I'll take my chances with local stores getting them in and my backorders coming through.

Its really all one section once you filter on Pmags, you scroll typically about half way through the page count until it goes from hours to days than to many days. There is a blue bar denoting the non featured section and below that the time left starts over

They were just giving me a hard time about verifying my acct...asking me to fax a DL and utility bill. Doesn't seem worth the trouble...

A CAGE (Commercial and Gov't Entity) code is a number for DoD processing. Each manufacturer in SAM has one (or more).

I just snagged 5, 30 round P-Mags for $95 + $15 shipping. Total of $110. that's $21.90 a magazine. good price if you ask me.
there is one lot of 5 let on gunbroker.com

That is a good price for PMags but that link is for Tapco mags.
Is it a real pain to get registered with Gunbroker or is it just me?
You ever ordered from the basecampecho place before?
I kinda wonder if the pmags are even in stock. Not seeing a lot of "out of stock" stuff like most sites.
