Anyone else have any "odd" snack foods they want to recommend (I mean we can only bitch about gun control for so long before we get hungry)

Not odd, but down here we have two LARGE pistachio ranches (18,000 pistachio trees each), so our biggest snack is pistachios. The flavored ones are the best though: red chile (VERY hot), green chile (delicious), green chile and garlic, garlic with lime, lemon lime, ranch (AWESOME) and many more.

Buy wasabi peas at the Asian markets. A fraction of the cost and just as tasty.

The only pretzel worth eating is Honey Mustard by Hanovers. Love Wasabi peas. I recently had horseradish cheese and it is DELICIOUS!
The wasabi peas are pretty good but lately I've been pigging out on garlic stuffed green olives.

Oh dear God, YES! Those, along with the frozen microwave to warm add salt pretzels. I discovered those honey mustard pretzels and hoarded them like they were crack!

I did not type that to sound sexual...not in the slightest. Must be the combo of having a cavity filled today ( [off-yourself] ) and having two Grolsches, because, ya know, the jaw hurts (but mostly because I need more bottles for homebrewing)...

Last time I had some tasty green and white crack it took weeks of antibiotics to clear up the rash afterwards.

I guess I should say salted and dried, prunes are just dehydrated. saliditos are much dryer

They also have them at Walmart and they have "wasabi flavor" on them ... whatever that means.

Those sound good ... Have to pick some up (of course my wife won't want to be anywhere near me then) ... gotta wonder if those would go well with Gin and Vermouth (I like my Martinis dirty).
These are saladitos. Growing up in So. Cal. These things were a staple in most homes. Even the ice cream man sales them. They are a bit salty for my taste. 19469
