Ok so I've decided to get a p229

I plan on getting the P229 Elite with the SRT trigger. http://www.sigsauer.com/Products/ShowCatalogProductDetails.aspx?categoryid=8&productid=163

Now here is what I’m going to do to the gun

~ Replace the sights with these tritium night sights extra tall for suppressors (any experience with tritium sights, good or bad?) http://www.topgunsupply.com/SIG-SAUER-c-292.html
~ Get it a bar-sto threaded barrel http://www.barsto.com/category_main.cfm?ID=229&cco=68
~ Get it a gemtech BLACKSIDE-40 suppressor (are these any good or would you recommend another type of suppressor) And does anyone know where I can get them for the best price?
~ And I'd also like to get it a better double action trigger pull... 10lbs sounds kind of steep, what would be the best way of doing this? Buy a less resistant recoil spring? And which one would you guys suggest?
~ And of course I’ll buy it allot of ammo ;)

Also once I have paid the 200$ tax stamp for the suppressor here in Arizona, if I ever move to another state do I have to do anything or pay the 200$ again?

Also any suggestions on reducing the trigger pull poundage would be really awesome! Or any other good ideas you may have for the gun :)

or you could step up to this model, it is a .45 not a .40, but it has the threaded barrell and supressor sights from the factory.

Aye that would make a nicer supressed gun but would make a horrible carry gun, if I want to carry the 229 I could just put in the old barrel and wallah, its ready to be concealed. So I can this way have 1 gun with 2 purposes, instead of 1 gun with only 1 purpose... that thing would be a honker of a gun to carry round with you.

the P220's aren't bad to carry at all, matter of fact, I'd say it rides better than my 1911. I've got a medium build (or at least that's what I keep telling myself) and don't have an issue with the P220 when I have carried it... but if you want the P229, go for it man.. you might want to shop sigforums.com for a good deal and recommendations from some of the custom shop folks over there.

It's a one-time fee of $200. But, you'll need to make sure that suppressors are legal in the state you move to (but you already knew that) and you'll have to inform the ATF of the new address.

If you're looking for a two-in-one type pistol, why not a Glock 26 (9mm)? They are super-compact for carry and when you're using a suppressor on it, you could just use the high-cap glock mags in it. Plus, isn't the 9mm is the best caliber to suppress (that and a 22LR)?

Well I have a glock 19... great gun in 9mm but the accuracy isnt there and the sigts on the thing stink :(

It would be my second choice for a supressed gun... I'll have to give the 229 a test drive and see how it is before i dedicate a supressor to it.... thanks for the info about moving :) relativley painless..... still gotta deicide wether i want to get that supressor and be on the books with the feds.... i dunt trust em...

I also got a smokin great deal on the P229 Elite 775$ +30$ s&h and insurance... pics of it can be seen in this auction :)

Nice looking pistol there for sure.

I'd like a Sig Mosquito to suppress. That would be fun!
