Tin foil hat time again. What do y'all think about the article below? Does Germany know something that we aren't being told?

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/germany-bring-home-gold-stored-us-france-205249881--finance.html

Of course, on the other hand as one of the commenters said (the only reason to read yahoo news) "Who would trust a country 17 trillion in debt to hold onto their money?" HAHAHA.

Discuss.

Fantastic. This should turn out fun! What happens when they realize the gold that we've supposedly been storing for them, isn't readily available for some reason?

If I had any gold, I wouldn't want someone else holding it. Many countries are trying to increase their gold reserves because the world economy is so uncertain. It only makes sense to have those reserves at home, IMO.

I was laughing about this. They open the vault and see an IOU stamped by the Social Security commission.... HAHAHAHA.

I wonder if its just that they don't trust the socialists that run France and the US not to steal it.

I kinda wonder sometimes if it matters what gun control laws they pass in the next month or two as I sometimes wonder if the US government will exist long enough to enforce them.

I think it's related to the euro and the EU. Historically, the nations that have done this haven't done so well afterwards, however. Too little too late? I'm almost certain they don't trust us (who would?), and they sure don't trust France!! China's been doing some very interesting things with gold as well. Lots of rumors have been floating around that various nations have been trading with gold, instead of the commonly accepted US Dollar. Some say that's why certain nations have recently had 'problems, and leadership changes', because they wanted to use alternative currencies for doing business!!

I wouldn't put anything past our admin., nor the central banks of the world.

I've been saying it for years. Bread, bullets, and bullion. Still rings true as far as I'm concerned.

Just another nail in the coffin for the Euro and the EU.

Oddball: Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Big Joe: I thought I told you to bring me some good-looking kid, not this fat, sausage-chewing wino!
Kelly: Well, if you were looking for a young boy, you should have sent somebody else, Joe.

Big Joe: ...There's no booze, there's no broads, there's no action!
Captain Maitland: That's another thing - don't fool around with the women. Their husbands carry guns. And don't forget, the penalty for looting is death.
Big Joe: Loot what? There's nothing here to loot!

It isn't just us, they pulled all their gold from the UK about 10 or so years ago. The reason their gold is abroad was because West Germany feared it being stolen by communists in East Germany. I imagine our debt, political landscape and even problems in the Eurozone has prompted this as well.

I understand the we hold 1,500 tons of their gold. They asked for all of it and were told they could have 300 tons delivered over the next seven (7) years.

You're kidding right? Where's your smiley bad forum etiquette haver? I'd choose Kelly and his band of misfits over fail ass Daniel Craig any day, but that had already been done. The ssssymbology I was going for was the aliens sucking the gold out of the ground and taking it away. Now why don't you lean forward and choke yourself.

As for the EU failing, the Euro is doing better than the dollar thanks to this administration. China has been trading a lot more in Euros this last year as a result of our credit rating downgrade.
