Is it worth joining in of the state level organizations?

Hello all,

I already belong to NRA.
Is it worth joining any of the state level organizations?
I know of CSSA, RMGO, and PPFC.
Any opinions on which is best to join or not join or others to join?

Hell yes, they are the only real voices at the state level, where we face a very real potential battle for our rights.
RMGO is probably the most vocal, CSSA keeps a pretty low profile but are active, not sure who the other one is.

I have a life membership in CSSA, used to be the action pistol executive. Since Aimee left, I have not heard much at all from them. No magazine, no newsletter, maybe one or two e-mails a year.

However, some of the past CSSA BOD are personally involved and meeting with the Gov, the state legislature etc.

Dudley has certainly made some enemies on both sides of the debate, and done some damage to both sides of the debate, but RMGO probably is the most visible if you just want to add $ on the state level and increase the political clout of a group fighting for the 2A here in CO.

I belonged to CSSA many years ago, to be honest could not tell that they were doing much at the time.
Maybe different now.

This thought crossed my mind the other day. Do the local organizations have political pull? Do they have the equivalent of a PAC? Are they working directly with legislators to defend the rights of gun owners? I haven't researched it much, but would be interested if a representative of those organizations would post current activities. Perhaps they have information on their websites. In any case, I don't recall much pro-gun legislation since Columbine. Then again, the local media may not report on it either. From what I understand, most of our current rights are due to a lack of laws instead of laws re-enforcing them (or a constitutional amendment guaranteeing them).
