Ammo scarcity has me breaking out the old Rockchucker again. Is there anywhere in the Denver metro area with supplies, or has that stuff dried up too?
Sportsmans had zero rifle or pistol primers on the shelves the other day, I asked about powder and one of the salesmen laughed.
Good luck. Midsouth, Natchez, Midway, Bass Pro, Cableas, Palmetto, Brownells, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., is out of just about everything with varying degrees of "backorderability." I did find some shotgun powder for my pistol loads at Sportsmans though...

I've had to resort to bringing reloading supplies from out of state. I've got three pounds of powder and 2000 primers coming from Washington. Good luck.

You can find bullets and powder for pistol. Primers are damn scarce. 223 is in the not going to happen category. Large rifle is hit and miss. I have everything I need, but a few people I know are having a really hard time. Dad's Wholesale marked up his stuff (as always), but people were still getting components from him as of last week. You will likely need to go online and pay the hazmat fee. Widners and Powder Valley are pretty well cleaned out, but they get shipments in if you pay attention; they go fast.
The last time I was at Sportsman's, they had a run on reloading manuals and dies. I never thought I would see the reloading manuals cleaned off the shelf. A couple weeks ago, Sportsman's reminded me of Black Friday, people picking up and grabbing whatever they could find whether they needed it or not. It is a total zoo out there!

It was the same this morning. They don't even bother to stock the shelves anymore. They just wheel out the pallets and carts for the vultures. Only. 308 I saw was 190 gr. I

Right now a small rifle primer is like the holy grail.

It's been just about impossible to find any reloading supplies here in Durango as well. Wednesday I went to Farmington NM and stopped by a pretty good sized pawn shop and asked if they had small rifle primers, the lady says "yep we have a surplus of the 1000 ct boxes of the federal primers" My jaw dropped and i proceeded to pull out the wallet.

Sportsmans down here gets shipments every friday, however their hazmat items, ie powder and primers come seperate and at any time, at least thats what the sales guy told me the other day. All you can do is hit the store every day until items come in and grab them. On a sunday recently, all they had was shotgun primers, then the very next thursday they had some primers on the shelf, large rifle mag and large pistol mag. Already have a couple boxes of LRM, so I snagged the pistol primers, and held on to them like pigskin in a runningback's hands. Hit the gunshows, some vendors have some stuff, but they are inflating prices due to supply and demand. I learned my lessons after the '08-'09 guns and ammo run. I have a few boxes of each kind of primer on hand, as well as a stash of powder.

I've got plenty of large rifle primers, IMR4064, and several hundred pistol primers. It's pistol powder I may be looking for soon - my keg of W231 is getting light. I'm going to load what I've got and hope the frenzy dies down by the time I run out...[ROFL1]

Good luck on w231 right now. I looked for 1 or 4lb containers to no avail. Was able to get the hp38 version in 1lb bottles at least. Apparently alot don't realize they are the same.

I picked up 1k of LPP today at Sportsmans, and another 500 LPP at Bass Pro. Bass Pro seems to have sporadic primers etc. out on the shelf, and you HAVE to ask at the counter at Sportsmans. Also, I have had decent luck picking up powder there as well. I pick up a lb or so almost every time I walk in the place it seems.

You see 55gr bullets running $150 per K ! ! !. Time to re-evaluate pricing.

Not one more item is available. My small parts bins [unofficial] garage sale starts this sunday. Need to clear out the shit i have and get the shop organized. I can't find my @#$%^ lathe!!
It's bad enough i have to barter for reliable help to do the lifting, climbing and moving shit around.

Just an update, went to the tanner show in pueblo, and saw winchester large rifle primers for $65, and the other primers on the table were about the same price. Went to sportsmans later, and found almost no primers, and a very short list of powders still in stock. Also saw a list with limits for amounts of powder, primers, mags etc that you may buy at a given time. It was pretty busy, so I would say the chaos is really throttling up now.

Some of the 'shotgun-only' type online vendors have various powders, mostly for shotgun but they work for many handgun loads (i.e.; Hodgdon Universal Clays, similar to Unique). Check out Gamaliels, RecobsTarget, Ballistic Products Inc., etc. I think Universal is a great handgun powder and it works for my 12ga too! WIN!

Last week I ordered 16lb of Ramshot x-term from Powder Valley. Also recently ordered 1k 9mm and 1k 45 230g FMJ from Freedom Munitions before they stopped taking orders. Other than that I spent the last 4 years stocking up on primers (bought a shit ton of Wolf LR and SR last year when they were $15.50/k at Wideners), bullets and other powder. Hopefully what I have will last me until production catches up.

Been reloading for the better half of the day. Just realized I only have one package of small rifle primers left (100 count). I feel naked.

Grafs has a bunch of powder in stock and Powder Valley still has some too.
I was at the Shot Show this week. All of the manufacturers are running 4 to 6 weeks behind. The larger distributers that are still taking back orders have orders being filling as the manufacturers can produce product.

You can use SRP's in place of SPP's, providing you have them;)
