I stopped into the Fort Collins store today and the hunting department was a ghost town. The last time I was in there was about two months ago and it was packed with customers and stock. Just like every other time I had been there. Today I was the only customer in there and there wasn't a lot of stock either. Spots for many accessories weren't just empty, the tags were taken down as well. There were only about six pistols left in the display case. When I asked an employee if they were just out of stock, I recieved a very irritated "yes". I asked him when shipments come in and he said every day. Now I know there has been a much higher demand for firearms lately, but it's hard for me to believe that they are selling out of stock when I didn't see any customers.

I heard through the grapevine that they wouldn't be restocking any "assault style" weapons. They did have an AR style air gun in there with a sign on it that said "this is an airgun".

Does anybody know if they are cutting back to just hunting rifles and shotguns?

Thanks. I used the search, but came up with nothing for Jax. I figured someone knew about this.

Yeah, they're not well liked anymore. I went in looking for a Becker BK2 and found it ironic that they're selling AR pattern airsoft guns.

unfortunately this is where we get all of our stuff for work (I manage a horse ranch) the gun department seems to have a lot of just random stuff in stock and the merchandise never moves in my opinion, like no one buys anything from them any more. They do have many airsoft things that look just like AR-15's and such. they are such a joke.

When I was leaving today I saw an employee that I recognized making what appeared to be a private sale of an AR-15 in the JAX parking lot. I posted a little more about this in the general discussions forum. Please tell me what you think.

Thanks for the simple answer Jim. I think I was just a bit fired up after realizing that I now have to boycott my favorite sporting goods store. It was pretty crazy of me to think they may be quietly unloading their inventory out the back door.

Anyone pay attention there to know the major manufacturers they carry in their hunting dept? I need to head up and take a look.
