View Full Version : What was up with all the DPD cars flying up Federal last night?
I don't have a scanner and, as usual with Denver, nothing was in the news. Friday night, about 7:15 PM, an unmarked car with lights and siren went flying up Federal at nearly double the speed limit, followed minutes later by at least 8 patrol cars, then a few minutes later by 5 more patrol cars. Big hurry, lights and sirens, no fire trucks or ambulance. Looked like they all turned East on 38th. Was wondering if anyone knew what was up with that? Thanks.
Dunno, myself at like 0830 saw 3 Westy or Thornton PD coming quick with lights as needed otherwise silent/lights off down 104th and into a neighborhood just before Sheridan. Always makes you wonder what really crazy stuff never gets caught by the media. (Interning with Boulder County Probation I can tell you it's a lot given some of the really bad stuff I ended up privy to.)

Don't know if this is related but I was going down the back side of Buckley AFB and was redirected by an Aurora PD officer totally blocking access to 6th ave east and west bound. Maybe we had a visitor last night.
Friday night street racing.
The unmarked was the pace car. [ROFL1]

No visitors at Buckley yesterday. That road closure was due to an explosives detection K9 hitting on a truck at the gate. Turned out the truck just had residue from a construction project, but the road was shut down as a precaution.

Will Farrell's Chihuahua??? That doesn't make any sense
I have no idea what happened but if you have a smart phone there are numerous free apps for police scanners. I have one called 5-0 radio. It works good enough :)
