Any one coming up this weekend to Harris Park Shooting range?
What to meet up? I could use some pointers with my new AR-15.

I would like to but I cant this weekend maybe another time I have to much going on this weekend.

I'm another newbie looking to shoot my AR with someone who knows more than me (almost anyone with an AR) but I'm headed to Canon City this weekend for the Appleseed shoot.


Next weekend, or anytime after that I'm ready.

Is Harris Park a range, or the name of a public land shooting spot?

Yeah I cant find it on a Yahoo! Search or on ARFCOM's range list...

Harris Park was a shooting range set up by the national forest service. Unfortunatley idiots shot the place up so they took out all the benches and target stands however you can still shoot there.

The range is behind Harris Park its a comunity just north east of Baily CO.

Looks like i'm heading to the South spot tomorrow. We're already going to be about 45 minutes South, figure we might as well go check it out.

I went up there and the forset service closed the road, a road temporary closed wet conditions sign is up. They did not tell me that when I call
