I installed an ambi-safety on my AR, the DPMS one, and I am trying to install the one from Battle Arms Development. The only issues is I cannot remove the small little screw that is on my current one. The screw came with a dab of blue lock-tite on it. It is on so tight it literally twists the small allen wrenches i have to remove it and wont budge. Any thoughts on how to get the screw off?

Heat. Use a hair drier or heat gun then slowly turn back and forth 1-2 times before final removal. IF you have an issue with the allen head wrench and allen head use a metric one lightly tapped in the somewhat rounded hole.
Plan B: drive up here 2 morrow if you don't have a h/drier or heat gun. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes ([LOL]) to change it out.

thanks i will try the hair dryer. how hot should i get it?
it isn't that the hole has rounded out for the allen wrench, it is the the actual wrench is twisting its self up (like twisting a rope kind of thing). Can't say that i have ever seen that happen before, must just be weak metal.

Come see me.
Any further monkeying around with it is very liable to break it in the safety.
