Holy shit. I walked into the house this evening to the most God-awful music bouncing out of my living room. Surrounded by a chorus of "oh, oh, oh" and "yeah-ee-yeah-ee-yeah" and "I wanna kiss you" I find my daughters- and my wife!- watching a group of 5 pansy-assed, makeup-covered, barely-pubescent, teenage boys prancing around my TV acting like they have a fucking clue about "you girl." This scene's in a prison- oh, yeah you'd last 3 minutes as eye-candy before becoming someone's ass-clown- oh wait, now they're pretending to drive down the highway while- wait for it- climbing over each other and- I am not kidding- this one "guy", sporting a "thank you God I can grow a five-o'clock shadow" is wearing his aviator shades while his LEG is AROUND another guy's NECK. It was bad enough when it was Lady Gaga and Katie whatever-her-name-is, but a boy band??? Damn and double-damn. And when did we replace lyrics with "oh, oh, oh"???

It must be ok though. I think they're a bunch of damn Brits and God knows they can't do no wrong.

Holy shit, I am screwed. I need my man-cave and I need it now....

[Bang]

For the record, I have saturated my girls in some damn good music over the years- the oldest is just now 10 and she's been able to pick a Pink Floyd song out of a lineup for years... but it appears my wife is somehow undermining me.
Damn.

Sorry to hear you troubles! Myself I have nowhere to go in my home. Shit everywhere and this damn song on Nick Jr "There's a party in my tummy...so yummy so yummy! Do the Carrots want to go to the party in my tummy?" I don't even want to know what lies ahead but that Katy Perry bouncy boobies makes my troubles go away for tonight!

I am very distraught at the re-emergence of boy bands. I was hoping that fad died with nsync or whatever the hell they were called. They're so geigh, yet chicks love them. I will never understand.

Nothing new and Doubt it willl ever go away ..

Oldest boy band I can think of is the Monkee's ..( tho I bet there are older) then to the 80's new edition, and new kids on the block .. they go on an on LOL

I'll take the Monkeys over any of this shit, and I don't even like the Monkeys, but at least I don't hate. This current music (Bieber, boy bands, etc.) makes me wanna stab someone in the face with a fork. Good job on the Floyd, keep saturation bombing them with classic rock (real music), like Zep, Hendrix, Doors, etc. Block MTV, MTV2, BET, etc. off your cable/sat, then put a parental password on it and don't tell your wife. MTV and Top-40 music is pure brain rot, save the children!

One Direction?

LMAO.

Last June, during a company tech conference in Chicago, the hotel we stayed at was next door to a venue and apparently the band was staying there as well. One of my co-workers said that he rode the elevator down from his floor and as he arrived at the lobby and the elevator doors opened, a large group of young girls started screaming, then seeing that it was only this middle aged guy in a frumpy corduroy sportcoat, all went "awwww." Same thing happened in my home. Some of the cr@p my kids listen to is painful. But, both of my kids love KISS's Rock-n-Roll All Night.
