‎"After three hours of watching one another's media caricatures evaporate, the six decided that, for starters, they'd all support reinstating the Glass-Steagall Act.

Reinstating Glass-Steagall has an appeal to both the political left and the right because it curbs the power of major Wall Street players that control the nation's politics and finances."

Too often, outfits like MoveOn and the Tea Party get so wrapped up in beating each other in the partisan, Twitter-driven politics of the moment that they don't take time to see who is picking both of their pockets.

As much as many of you hate the left and anything you see as Liberal, there are many issues where we can talk and agree on. We just need to be willing to. I thought some of you might enjoy reading this.

Chunky the sad reality is we live in a two party dictatorship where both sides are owned by the same corrupt mega wealth interests. They keep us divided on issues like gun control so other issues that are just as dangerous to the nation, never can be addressed. I personally think we as a nation are 100 years past due for a constitutional convention. Which many of the founding fathers felt should be done once generation. My personal hope if one ever came about would be to declare that only humans can be citizens (not artificial gov created entities ie corporations). That and I would figure out a way to make our gov more proportionally representative so that more than 2 parties are in power.

Although, on the surface, that sounds crazy, the "rights" of corporate entities has a lot of folks concerned, as a corporation cannot be punished, only sued, yet it has "rights" along with the power and wealth to influence legislation. Gerry Spense wrote a few essays on this.

I could'nt believe this shit the first time i heard it. It be nice if we could sumarize this fact in to a clever bumper sticker slogan to get more people to realize this; i say bumper sticker only because so many of us are so hoplesly asleep waiting to be fed their opinions via TV that traffic is one viable choice.
