View Full Version : Catching some of the new products coming down the pike!
I was browsing some new stuff and some gave me the HUH?
........but there was some cool new stuff:
How about from STARKS industries who had an AFG and a Vertical Grip create a bastard child;

SEEKINS New lower ( on the right, cant tell if it has leopard spots, or just all the greasy fingers fondling it at the show );

Is that a cheetah print lower?
How about the Nikon P300 -blk 300 blackout scope with dual (sub/super) reticle for 199.00?

Yeah it isnt that visually stimulating, but I got to tell you, I see a lot of people who shoot with a vertical grip actually hold it like they display for that grip. Makes sense
I would buy that grip. I like the magpul angle grip thing. I don't need new stuff when I cant buy the old stuff. Everyone of my wish list things is out of stock at Midway. Fingers crossed.

I like that grip a lot better than those that sit 90 degrees off of the front of the rifle - I've never liked those.

What do you all think of lowers with permanent trigger guards, ie they're part of the lower itself?
As long as its curved and comfortable, I think if you manage to break it, something else is also probably terribly wrong with the rest of the rifle.

Shop other vendors. Midway while having some nice products, is at the bottom of my go to vendors. Prices are ok just not a Must have place to "shop"

I think some could be rather strong. I opted for the MIAD Full grip kit, which included a front strap that included the trigger guard and is therefore stronger (in my opinion) than ones that use the aluminum tabs to mount. Sadly, I don't think you can find the full kits anywhere but it'd be awesome if they sold just that front strap.

Soldier Systems (http://soldiersystems.net/) had pretty good coverage of SHOT and some of the products on display there.
From what I've seen online of this year's SHOT show, the only products that got me excited were the civ-legal PEQ15 from Insight and the 25rd .308 Pmags. I hope they come out before any potential ban comes down.
I am really digging this new stock from MISSION FIRST. MFT reminded me of COMMAND ARMS and MAKO, re-branded Israeli Accessories, but this stock is pretty '"simple" i like it.

MFT also has some goofy "pattern" prints now.

I use my vert foregrip (tango down stubby) as a hand stop more than anything. I actually don't grab the grip - just the side of my hand hits it (by the pinky) and I can use it to push the stock back into my shoulder and get a consistent grip every time I pick up the gun.
I've tried the AFGs and my hand just slips off of them -- looks like it would do the same here.

Nice, wish it was illuminated reticle. :(

Skully... I've seen your name on one or two other forums too - are you in the industry, or just a fellow enthusiast? [Beer]

Yup - one of the Jeep forums back in the day. Can't remember which one - but your screen name stuck out. I don't own a Jeep currently (sniffle) so it's been a while since I've been on too.
That grip is hideous.
It's the new "tactiKool".

cept the lower is still a gun.
Possibly something to really piss people off during muzzleloader season though.
