And before you go off on your magazine vs. clip tirade, I do mean clips.

Apparently my dad just picked up a pair of old WW2 rifles from a co-worker but didn't get any clips with them. My first reaction was to tell him to try and get his money back but I figured I'd at least try to help him out first.

They're both 6.5 x 52mm mannlicher-caranos. One is a Beretta Gardone and the other is a R. E. Terni (no Lee Harvey jokes please). I spent about 30 minutes on Google last night but when it comes to clips, my google-fu is weak I guess.

So does anyone have a good source for old clips? The guy who sold them to my dad (who by all counts is an honest, hard-working guy and I definitely would not think of him as trying to rip off my dad) said they ran about $5-$10 apiece. He's got to be in his 70's by now though so that price may have been valid in the 1960's.

Here's an image of the clip. Old WW2 ammo is on the left. New production Prvi is on the right. Both clips are the same (with the exceptions of material).

Thanks SAnd. That link only has the brass clips available (would prefer steel), but using some of their keywords led me to better google searches. That led me to the one place I didn't think to check but should have started with... Ebay. :)

I can't confirm it, but it *seems* like all of the Carano rifles use the same clip. I'm hoping that the early model 1891, 1938, and 91/38 clips will also work on the RE Terni and Beretta Gordone models. I guess we'll find out...
