View Full Version : N00b questions thread
Hello-
Is there a thread for n00b gun owners to ask very basic questions? I've been looking all over the site, but I haven't been able to locate anything like that. If there isn't, would "general discussions" be the place to start one?
I hope I'm not the only one that would have questions but in reading over some of the threads, I'm pretty lost with acronyms, terminology, ammo...and pretty much everything else.
Thank you.

It depends on the type of questions you have where you would post it up. If you are looking to build something post up in the Build it yourself forum, if you have questions about magazines post up in the Magazines forum, if you have questions about optics....well you get the idea.
If you have general questions just post them in 'general discussion'.. if however, you fail to use the 'search' feature... you will be harassed. Forever.
Don't be that guy. We already have enough of those.
Understood, on both counts. Thank you.

We're usually pretty decent to our noobs too. We try to avoid eating our young.
When I started here the acronyms were killing me. After 20 yrs active duty you'd think I could figure 'em out easily enough but that wasn't the case. So, ask away. I'll watch for your threads/posts to see if I can help answer any of your questions.

Thank you kindly, sir.
My pride went into my back pocket today; I want to understand everything about my guns and what can and should be done with them.
I'll be asking many, many questions.
