Hey Guys/Gals,
I have a few weapons and recently have become more interested in firearms in general.
Joined this forum to get the local Colorado viewpoint and info around the area.
I've been shooting since I was young with a .22 pearl handeled revolver that my dad gave me. We would go out along devils backbone and plink away with it and some other small pistols and rifles. Needless to say I have always had a respect and enjoyed firearms. I give my dad all the credit for teaching me from the beginning that guns are a tool that can be used for good and bad. They are a ton of fun also!
Since buying my first home I've kept a short mossberg pump 12 gauge for home defense. Taken my wife out to shoot since She didnt have the opportunity that I had to be taught in a comfortable environment about firearms safety. She has said that she feels much more comfortable at home when I'm gone on business trips with the shotgun there and I do too. She gets a refresher at least once a year so she knows she can handle it if she has to.
I believe that everyone should have to go to a gun safety course as part of registering for the draft on their 18th birthday.
