Ok. With all of the crap that all of the anti's are talking about (both the out-in-the-open and the "closet" anti's) about 'compromise' and 'reasonable measures', I'm sick and tired of the argument always being about restricting the "current baseline" even further, always having to be the one to compromise, and always having to defend the current line-in-the-sand.
I think it's time to agressively push the 'compromise' agrument in the other direction. They want to have a discussion about 2A applicability/restrictions? All options on the table? Fine then. To hell with the whole discussion around "evil" SA firearms, and lets' start pushing for full repeal & nullification of the NFA in it's entirety. Let the current flow in the other damn direction for once.
If nothing else, it will put the shoe on the other foot, serve to highlight the unconstitutionality of the whole thing, and raise awareness around the fact that we've already been heavily restricted with regard to firearm ownership, at a level which has already gone way beyond the restrictions defined in the constitution/BOR. You can only bend a stick so far before it snaps....
