Not just from WW2 but through all the tyrannical govt. and regimes.
I have friends and realatives from Poland telling me we as Americans better wake the f up otherwise we'll wind up where they were 20 years ago....

^This! I have good friends who have each lived through various events where they lived: Hitler's regime, Pol Pot, Vietnam, Red China and some other ethnic cleansings and the like. It ain't pretty and we need to learn from it all...
