View Full Version : I think I am making a big deal out of nothing. Help me out.
I am moving from my home in Jefferson Co. (Wheat Ridge) to another place just 1 block away. Still in Jefferson Co. and Wheat Ridge. I have the form to fill out for the address change, I will fill it out and have notary do his thing. Do I take this to The Jefco Sheriff where I 1st got my CCW and if so which days in the week can I do it? The form has no information on it. Also does anyone know what kind of hoops do I have to jump threw and how much does it cost for the new permit ?
Thanks for the help. I can screw up a train wreck so I want to ask someone who has gone threw this.

Haven't done Jefferson County, but Adams was free and done by mail.
Mail it in and see what happens.
Not in jeffco. But in arapahoe I just dropped it off @ the sheriffs office. No appt needed
- sent by the free-range electronic weasel attached to my hip.

You have 30 days to notify the issuing sheriff of any change of address. Just give them a call and see how they handle it.
From the JeffCo Sheriff's website:
Address / Name Change form (https://www.co.jefferson.co.us/jeffco/sheriff_uploads/address_change.pdf)(pdf)
This form may be submitted Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. - no fee
(Per C.R.S. 18-12-210 (1) - you must notify JCSO within 30-days)
(Form must be completed and notarized - bring notarized form to JCSO Records, along
with your current permit card, and a new card will be issued in exchange for the old one)

Adams county wanted something to prove the new address. I sent 'em a water bill.
Thank You

it's been a couple years but I just dropped by and filled out a change of address form and it was free. Just call them and make sure of the times.
