...some steel. :D
Looking for a decent knife shop. Someplace with a good selection (Emerson, Benchmade, Kershaw, Chris Reeves, etc). Between Denver and Fort Collins would be a plus.
Any ideas?

Internet may be your best bet for the selection your looking for IMHO
Thanks Wulf202, I forgot about them.
I can get any knife on the internet. I'm looking for someplace to actually touch a real piece of steel. :)
My local sportsman's warehouse has a decent variety to play with.

Ready Room and Bower's Tactical carry limited knife supplies but good stuff.I just bought a KaBar folder from Ready Room and yeah I agree I want to handle a knife before I buy it. [Beer]
There is a Knife store in Westminster Mall, The Cutting Edge or something along those lines. Bunch of fantasy knives but, they also have a good selection of real ones also.

I know exactly what you mean. I've been shopping for a flashlight lately and have been looking for the same thing. Police Precinct in Wheat Ridge had a little selection of knives but after being blatantly ignored for a good five minutes, I left and don't intend on returning.

I think there's a Cutting Edge or Naked Edge or some such at Southwest Plaza Mall in Littleton. A few years ago there was a store called Cutlery Plus there, and it was about the coolest knife shop I've ever been in. Now it's some chocolate store - lame sauce.
Picked up an Ontario knife today from the Ready Room...awesome price, very happy with it, particularly how sharp it is! Much sharper than the Kabars I was handling at Sportsman's Warehouse in Aurora...

I took a Blackhawk knife I'd messed up pretty badly to Denver Cutlery today for resharpening. They're at 55th and Pecos (1 blk west). 3.50 to resharpen and repair and you can literally shave with it. They do it while you wait too.
These guys do professional chef/butcher knifes for a living. So once you get the eye stabber of your choice, I strongly recommend visiting them.
Thanks for all the suggestions. :D

I've taken my kitchen Henkels to McGuckin's Hardware for blade reshaping. The blades had a concave edge from years of use. Their blade guy does good work.
I recently picked up a Greco MST that needs a new edge. Looks like a trip to DC is in order.

Jensen's in Loveland has a OK selection of knives. I bought a CRKT M16 there for better than internet prices.
The first Emerson Commander I ever saw was at Jensen's.
I used to live in that area and never went to Jensen's. Now I live in the sticks and try to get there whenever I head north. Go figure. :shaking: :D
