For scheduling purposes:

Typically what-time is the shooters meeting? When does the match start?

Generally what time does the match end?

Crap. I though I had you on the announcements/results email list from wpgcresults at juno.com

Set-up starts at 5:00.

Sign-up starts at 6:15.

Shooters meeting at 7:00.

Done shooting by 9:15 is the goal.

Same every month. The times have never changed and most likely wont.

Fun times last night.

We were able to run a 24 round field course, then run it backwards with the lights turned down, then sneak in a couple Mozambique Drills and a Bill Drill for the third stage.

Out the door by 9:00 and scores emailed out by 9:05.

The weather indoors was fine.

Glad you like the gift. You've helped us out on a ton of stuff, so we figured we'd get you a little something to say thanks.

I am thinking about coming down for this match tonight. What time do I need to be there to make the shooters meeting? How many stages do you shoot and what time do you end up getting done?

The shooters meeting is around 7:00.

2 stages minimum, usually 3. It just depends on how many people show up.

Out the door by 9:15-9:30 at the latest is the goal.

Thanks for the info!!! It will be me and two others coming down from Denver to shoot with you guys tonight. Any special things needed for the indoor match? Or will the normal range bag stuff be enough? Also, is the range heated or will we need to wear a coat?

Nothing special required.

The range is heated and quite comfortable.

The facility also has a bathroom (the womens one is rather fancy, don't ask how I know) and snacks available.

The floor is concrete so if you wear cleats for outdoor matches might want something else.

See you at the match.

Yes, we typically send one out on wed or thurs before the match. But sometimes life gets in the way and that doesn't happen.

This is sent from the wpgc results, not he ECO results list, FYI.

Special thanks to Leo for bringing over 3 or 4 pizzas for everyone to chow on.

The next match will be the 1st Monday in Feb and it will have a USPSA classifier.

thanks, the link you provided listed them as WPPS.

Just to screw with your head, the IPSC club at Whistling Pines is called Whistling Pines Practical Shooters. Hows that.

WPPS IPSC/USPSA matches at WPGC.

DUDE, I can't handle all these acronyms, my head is hurting! Shot at a "defensive pistol" match the other day, enjoyed it and was looking aroud for other places to shoot. Looks like actual IPSC or IDPA are a little more formal than "defensive pistol" or "practical pistol" as some clubs are calling them. I have 3 kids in sports, so my Saturday's & Sunday's are pretty booked, however evening shoots are quite tempting.
