View Full Version : Douglas County Renewal
Just wanted to let folks know that dealing with Bob Britton at Dougco Sheriff's office was a piece of cake. They're getting hit with high demand as almost 900 permits are up for renewal. Just go in with a good attitude and a sense of humor. It only took just over a week between when I went in and dropped off the renewal paperwork and got the call that my new card was ready.
actually you can go in with a terrible attitude and after talking with bob for an hour(and I'm being conservative) you will certainly be happier for the visit. Bob is one of those guys I don't think anyone dislikes nor should they he is a wonderful person that everyone should meet.........just make sure you have plenty of time!

Agreed-
I dropped off my renewal paperwork in February, talked with Bob for a bit and he said that I should be hearing back from him in the next week or so.
He called me later that day to let me know that my permit was signed and ready.
Very smooth process. Sounds like the Douglas County Sheriff understands CCW completely-one of Bob's comments was to the tune of "the bad guys carry guns already, only the good citizens come thru the door with $100+ and submit to the screening process. We don't have anything to worry about from people with concealed weapons permits"
Bob was busy with another 'customer' and a lady behind the glass helped me with my card. As I was leaving I said, "Thanks, Bob!" He said, "See you in 5 years!" [Wave]
