So, by stating that he is concealed carrying at the moment, does that mean that he is technically open carrying, because everyone in that room KNOWS he has a firearm on him?
Is there a reason that the Mayor had the framed Oath there with him? Wonder how often he keeps it with him and has to reference it.
And yes, the Mayor definitely can ramble! Wonder how long that councilman is going to be in office for trying to over reach his power!
Sorry, didn't find it (which I was surprised) when I did a search. It actually makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck it's just SO DAMN AWESOME.

There is a lot of backstory to the event. Basically the same guy and others attended previous meetings open carrying. The mayor new he would be there and was prepared.

Finally as it should be.
Those of you fearful of the upstanding citizen with a gun, are free to leave, the rest of us are going to hang with the upstanding citizen.[Awesom]

This video is awesome! good work to that mayor
someone explain to me how there are 20+ public people seated in the room in one scene and then after the guy speaks of carrying, the next scene showing the publc's seating area is down to about 5 or 6, and the other chairs are all gone too? Just wierd..........although it's nice to a Mayor act as all elected's should. Hat's off to him, and the CCW guy for standing up.
Beautiful.
I think this guy should show up at every meeting. Then the pansy who is scared of guns won't be able to stay, and maybe the council can get some business done.
I would have interrupted the motion with a Point of Order - as previously stated, this portion of the meeting was for citizen comments. Not for questions, and not for motions from the council.

Whoa, that is weird, good eye! I also didn't know about the back story...As it played out it seemed to be happening for the first time. Ultimately I like the message it puts out, but am curious what happened to everyone....and the chairs.
Dudley for President!!!
Agreed. All he does is the most simple thing too.. uphold the constitution & when in doubt... defer to it.
I was the VP of our HOA board and while I recognize it's nowhere near the same level I was amazed at how much the other board members would attempt to assert THEIR likes and dislikes on everyone else who lived in the neighborhood and how far outside of the scope of enforcement things would be. It was a constant battle to try to keep them on track and constantly reminding them what our duty actually was and not what they wanted to be able to do. I was in the minority when it came to exercising common sense and to me it was a microcosm of this nation. The majority who think they have it all figured out better than the founding fathers and force others to do what they want & the few who try to apply common sense to issues at hand and not force their ideals onto others. Kind of feels like what we're facing as a society today.
That is so weird. I seen real intelligence and unrealistic cowardice from some of the counsel members. I wish our government could be so smart. To bad they are lackies and being used by their handlers.
I'm glad you reposted so that I caught this. Great video. What a d-bag that counsel member was. [facepalm]

All the knocking around noise in the background was those in attendence putting their chairs away and then left. Cowards and sheep!

i noticed that right off, i was wondering why they all left
If everyone left because they were scared, why would they take the time to stack thier own chairs......If I were scared, I'd exit stage left and let someone else do the stacking..
With all the known gun haters gone that would have been an EXCELLENT time to pass a motion that those who are legal to conceal carry in public are able to do so within the confines of that room as well to avoid confusion moving forward.

There is some time edited out. The meeting was going over the scheduled time and people left after the public comment. A guy or ARF.com was there and said no one really left because he was carrying.

Awesome. The way it should be. Elected official leaves because he's afraid of someone CCing (or was he being a little bitch because "his motion" didn't pass?). If all gov't officials, especially those in D.C., had the same fear, they'd know better than to fuck with the citizenry and their Constitutional rights.
Great post, that was awesome when the rest of the council opposed the motion. Good for them :)
